The latest visit of CHANYEOL to the Philippines is the cherry on top of this holiday season. The Cherry Prince delighted Filo EXO-Ls and Yeolmaes at PENSHOPPE’s recent fan meet.
For an exclusive fan meet last December 16, PENSHOPPE flew EXO’s Park Chanyeol, also known as CHANYEOL, to the Philippines as their newest global ambassador! Just in time for the holidays, the event—which took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena—was CHANYEOL’s largest fan meet in Manila to date.
EXO’s Chanyeol met the members of the press and selected fans during a press conference held ahead of the #PENSHOPPExCHANYEOL Fanmeet in Manila. He described PH EXO-L as passionate—their relentless support and energy embedded in his memory from his last visits. He also shared his hope to release a solo album and collaborate more with PENSHOPPE on campaigns. (Photos from PENSHOPPE)
The evening began with a bang as the multi-talented artist wowed the crowd with a polished rendition of EXO-SC’s “Nothin” while wearing items from PENSHOPPE’s Holiday Collection. After formally welcoming the audience, self-described Koreanophile Kring Kim began the show with a “Keeping Up with CHANYEOL Segment,” in which The Cherry Prince himself had the opportunity to choose from a variety of large envelopes containing questions that gave fans a close-up look at the KPOP sensation.
Subsequently, the crowd in the arena let out a collective swoon as the “Happy Virus” launched into an entertaining fast-talk style section, fielding audience members’ questions. Following that, fans had the opportunity to dazzle and showcase their moves as CHANYEOL performed for the “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo!” segment, in which he saw followers dance to dance videos created by PENSHOPPE. He took on the challenge of figuring out which songs the dances were originally choreographed to, just to liven up the evening even more.
The segment showcased the idol’s lively demeanor and demonstrated how close CHANYEOL is to his admirers. After that, CHANYEOL used art supplies that were given to him onstage to create five PENSHOPPE t-shirts, showcasing his artistic abilities. The audience then participated in a raffle to win these creative creations. If that wasn’t enough to get fans excited, CHANYEOL raised the stakes when the host asked him to say “Mahal Kita” with various expressions. An on-screen Kilig Meter gauged how enthralled the audience was with CHANYEOL’s declaration of love for them.
Following that, fans had the opportunity to express their admiration for CHANYEOL directly through voice notes that were played during the performance and a fan sign that was large enough for CHANYEOL to read from the stage. The emotional event came to a close with CHANYEOL being crowned as the “Cherry Prince” by the audience, with each person donning a crown adorned with cherries as a symbol of their recognition of him as their real Cherry Prince!

CHANYEOL also performed fan favorites such as Tomorrow, SSFW, Rodeo Station, and his latest smash tune, Good Enough, throughout the night.
As a spinoff of his continuing fancon tour, PENSHOPPE’s fan meet is not only a perfect way to cap off his busiest year to date in the Philippines, but it also marks his first time performing some of his songs alone in Manila.
PENSHOPPE Brand Director Brandon Liu remarked, “This event is the perfect way to culminate CHANYEOL’s exciting year with PENSHOPPE.” He continued, “Over the years, the way Filipinos value music and culture has changed significantly, and PENSHOPPE’s collaboration with CHANYEOL is evidence of this love for variety. We’re honored to work with a force like CHANYEOL as a brand that supports the diverse interests and abilities of Filipinos in today’s world.”
Since being named PENSHOPPE’s newest ambassador in March, CHANYEOL has made a point of showcasing the brand’s easy-to-wear pieces and alternating between dressier and more casual styles. His collaboration with PENSHOPPE was intended to enhance the idol’s bond with PENSHOPPE customers as well as to highlight his recognizable style and sense of fashion.
“In almost a year of working with CHANYEOL, we’ve really seen how his style has influenced Filipino fans greatly. They’re inspired to make a statement, while staying true to their personal style the way CHANYEOL does. We’re confident that this partnership will allow fans to better connect with him and know him in a way different from before,” said GOLDEN ABC’s Vice President for Retail Brands Jeff Bascon.

Choi Woo Shik returned to the Philippines for his first-ever fan meeting titled Pinky Promise at the SM Skydome on November 16. Presented by Grand Larain Productions, the event treated the fans to an up close and personal meeting experience with the popular actor.
The 33-year-old Korean-Canadian actor is highly praised by fans and critics for his versatility. His notable roles include his stint as a two-faced tutor in Parasite, the affable classmate in Train to Busan, and the free-spirited illustrator in Our Beloved Summer.
Choi Woo Shik made his entrance to the stage by singing “The Giving Tree”, a ballad from Our Beloved Summer’s soundtrack. Fans cheered lovingly as snippets of the series flashed in the background.
Hosted by the bubbly Denise Laurel, an interview session was held with Woo Shik. He said that longed to go to the Philippines because he was unable to do so during the pandemic during which he only held an online fan meeting.
Now that he was finally here, he took the time to connect with his fans. He tried to speak English whenever he could. He also made it a point to look fans in the eyes and to wave at them as if to greet them again and again. Casual as he is, his answers were very spontaneous and straightforward.
Of all the characters he played, he finds Choi Ung from Our Beloved Summer as the most relatable, but he also has a side that shares similarities with Kim Kiwoo from Parasite. He also mentioned that one of his best memories as an actor is when he, along with the cast of Parasite, won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards in the USA. He even brought the trophy to show it to the audience.
Last March, Woo Shik was spotted casually filming something in the residential area of Navotas City, much to everyone’s surprise. When asked about it, he said that it was such a short visit and he was not able to go around the country. He later said that he would consider the Philippines as one of his summer destinations.
The fan meeting also featured special video messages from his fellow Wooga Squad members BTS’ V / Kim Taehyung, Park Seojun, Park Hyungsik, and actress Jung Yumi from the reality show Jinny’s Kitchen. Each one expressed their positive affirmations for the star of the evening.
Lucky fans who won the raffle also got their chance to climb up on stage and interact with Woo Shik. A trivia game about the actor was held and the winners were able to take Polaroid selfies with him. One fan was so overwhelmed that she cried when she saw him up front. Woo Shik was taken aback by this and disclosed that it was the first time a fan cried in front of him.
As a bonus, he also prepared a sweet gift for his fans. As shown in the VCR, he asked the help of Jung Yonghwa, frontman of the Korean band CNBLUE, to teach him how to sing well onstage. As a dedicated actor, Woo Shik admits that he is not very confident with his musical chops, but when he sang a cover of “Love Light” by CNBLUE during the fan meeting, fans were very appreciative of his performance.
“I will always take this energy with me and become a good actor,” Choi Woo Shik told the crowd. He explained that he was nervous at first, but seeing the fans cheer for him gave him strength. Repeatedly, he thanked everyone for coming, and with a pinky promise, he vowed to come back to the Philippines again. To bid goodbye, he sang “Poom”, a collaboration song with Peakboy. A quick Hi-Bye Session for all attendees was held shortly after.
Ten years after his last visit to the Philippines, singer-actor Lee Junho returned to give his devoted followers the most amazing fan meeting experience.
As six o’clock approached, ecstatic cheers filled the SM Mall of Asia Arena. On November 11, 2023, in Manila, the much-awaited JUNHO THE MOMENT 2023 began with jubilant cheers as the lights went down.
Performing solo tracks “Canvas” from his first extended play of the same name and “Nobody Else” from 2PM’s 2015 studio album No.5, the King the Land actor kicked off the fan meeting. He continued, extending his greetings to the crowd, saying, “Mabuhay! Ako si Lee Junho. Maligayang pagdating sa aking pinakaunang fan meeting tour.” He expressed his joy at having returned to Manila after a while and seeing everyone. “I really miss everyone,” he continued. The singer-actor assured his audience that everyone would have a great memory of the evening, and he surely followed through on that promise as the evening went on.
Photos from Live Nation Philippines
The fan meeting resumed with segments hosted by Sam Oh that allowed attendees to learn more about the Korean star through behind-the-scenes accounts of his photo shoots and wardrobe decisions. A retrospective of his filmography was also undertaken, with a focus on his most recent productions, King the Land and The Red Sleeve. He stated that Yi San from The Red Sleeve was his most memorable performance at the press conference that preceded his fan meeting. He also acknowledged that it took him some time to let go of the character.
The Red Sleeve served as Lee Junho’s first drama after his discharge from the military. It portrays the story of a royal court romance between a court lady who wishes to defend her chosen life and the King of Joseon, who puts his duty to his country above love. The singer-actor won accolades for his role as Yi San from a number of organizations, including the 2022 Baeksang Arts Awards, where he took home the Best Actor Award for Television, being the first idol to do so.
Photos from Live Nation Philippines
In addition, he spoke about his beloved character Gu Won from the drama King the Land, in which he co-starred with YoonA of Girls’ Generation. After the “Do you want to sleep over?” scene was shown, the singer-actor said that they wanted to portray and symbolize the characters’ love, and they hoped that the audience could connect with it. During its premiere, King the Land was the most popular Netflix series in 23 different countries. The drama is still accessible on the streaming platform.
The kilig, however, did not end there. Following his “Nothing But You” performance, Lee Junho fulfilled fan requests, gracing his admirers with embraces, conversations, and proximity. A true fan service king, he twice serenaded the crowd with his performance of “Imahe” by Magnus Haven.
Lee Junho sang “Can I,” “I’m In Love,” “DSMN,” and “Ride Up” to round out the fan meeting. The 2PM member expressed his sincere gratitude for all of the love and support he got at his first fan meeting. If the chance to perform again came up, he vowed to go back to the Philippines. “Thank you, Manila! I love you!”
