K-pop hitmaker Jang Yi-jeong, more popularly known for his pseudonym EL CAPITXN, finally took the Manila stage last December 12 at the SM North EDSA Skydome and transformed it into a space where artistry, vulnerability, and raw sound collided. Primarily known as one of K-pop’s most respected producers of this age, EL CAPITXN‘s concert was not a typical idol showcase and more of an invitation into the mind of a creator who has spent years shaping other artists’ voices, and is now more ready to show another side of himself to the world.

Best known as one of K-pop’s most influential producers, EL CAPITXN has shaped the sound of some of the industry’s most iconic tracks. Debuting as a member of the boy group HISTORY in 2013 before transitioning fully as a producer after the group disbanded, he built a reputation as a hitmaker with a distinct emotional and sonic identity. As a producer and songwriter, he has been instrumental in shaping the sound of worldwide artists, most notably through his long-running collaboration with SUGA of BTS. His production credits include globally recognized songs such as “Eight” by IU, “Telepathy” and “Take Two” by BTS, “Daechwita” and “AMYGDALA “by Agust D, all known for their emotional depth and layered storytelling. He also contributed to music for artists like PSY, Heize, TOMORROW x TOGETHER, PLAVE, ZEROBASEONE, and AHOF, establishing himself as a producer who balances mainstream appeal with introspective artistry. 

The Manila concert marked a significant moment in his evolution as a solo performer, bringing the music he once crafted behind the scenes directly to the stage. Opening with a gothic-themed VCR drenched in shadows and crimson hues, EL CAPITXN set the tone for a night that was equal parts intensity and intimacy. The visual set the tone most especially for the first part of his set list, with tracks such as “The Vampires”, “THEY”, “WHO KILLED EL?” and “Bite Down!”.

Clad in black, tattoos on full display, and commanding the stage with understated confidence and effortless charisma, he stepped fully into the spotlight as a compelling artist in his own right. Rather than relying on elaborate choreography, the performance focused on atmosphere and sound, allowing the music’s intensity to take centerstage.

The concert unfolded as a carefully curated narrative, balancing high-energy electronic tracks with darker, introspective moments. Heavy basslines and cinematic synths filled the venue, while quieter segments revealed EL CAPITXN‘s more vulnerable side.

“Boys Gang!” took a turn towards the end the moment sounds of a gong in exact intervals were mixed in the song. As if bringing us to a new side of EL CAPITXN‘s world in the second part of his setlist, he took off his jacket and wore a long black robe with thick golden cuffs and waistband, alluding to hanbok worn by kings in Korea in the olden days as he introduced the next song. 

“Daechwita” signaled the start of the second half of the setlist, and the crowd erupted the instant the familiar clash of kkwaenggwari, a flat gong of Korean traditional music, rang through the Skydome. EL CAPITXN led the chant, shouting “Daechwita! Daechwita!” in unison with the audience, even rapping along to sections of the song, and played the “shibal” remix made famous during Agust D’s world tour, where he also played a key role. He followed with other collaborations with Agust D, including “Haegeum”, before pushing the energy even higher with BTS staples like “Fake Love”, “MIC Drop (feat. Desiigner)”, “Ddaeng”, “UGH!”, and “IDOL”. PSY’s “That That” proved to be a crowd-pleaser, sending the entire arena into motion as the audience danced along.

He also mixed in tracks by other artists, including CORTIS’s “FaSHioN” and “Go!”, before surprising the audience with selections from BIGBANG. During “Bad Boy” and “We Like 2 Party”, he stepped down into the crowd to interact with fans, followed by G-DRAGON’s “Crooked” which pushed the energy higher as the audience chanted along. As a change of mood, EL CAPITXN performed AHOF’s “Rendezvous”, playing both keyboard and bass guitar and extending the track with a prolonged coda. Earlier, he played AHOF’s “Pinocchio” while forming the group’s signature hand sign as he looked out at the crowd. As AHOF’s producer and a major contributor to their sound, his onstage involvement offered a rare look at his work beyond production, emphasizing his direct musical connection to the group’s catalog.

As the set drew to a close, EL CAPITXN shifted the mood with Radiohead’s “No Surprises“, standing under pinspot lights as he watched the audience wave their phone flashlights. The energy briefly lifted with Earth, Wind and Fire’s “September”, a cross-generational favorite that had him grooving with his tour band onstage. He then moved to the keyboard and announced the final song, dedicating it to “the friend I love the most in the world,” before playing the opening chords of “Dear My Friend“ which he co-wrote with Agust D. Performed on piano and extended with a lingering coda played on the bass guitar gifted to him by Agust D, the closing moment conveyed vulnerability and gratitude, leaving the audience visibly moved.

EL CAPITXN paused to address the audience, thanking them for attending the first show of his tour and encouraging continued support for the artists he collaborates with most, notably AHOF and “his most precious friend, Min Yoongi (Agust D/SUGA from BTS).” He also took a moment to offer a heartfelt message of gratitude to Yoongi, expressing that their friendship was one he intended to carry for life.

For fans, the night carried added significance. Hearing and singing along songs they have cherished, now performed by the creator himself, offered a rare and affirming connection between artist and audience. As the concert came to a close, the emotion in the room suggested not an ending, but a release, leaving both EL CAPITXN and the crowd visibly moved.

EL CAPITXN’s Manila concert served as a statement, affirming his identity, not only as a celebrated producer, but as an artist worthy of paying attention to in his own right. For those in attendance, December 12 was a reminder that some of the most memorable voices belong to those who first shaped music from behind the scenes before stepping once again into the spotlight.

EL CAPITXN continued his Philippine leg to Bacolod on December 14, and is set to continue his first world tour in early 2026, including cities in Mexico, Los Angeles, New York, and Canada.

It was CENTIMILLIMENTAL’s first time in Manila, and judging by the warm reception he received from his fans, it wouldn’t be his last. Also known as Atsushi, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter from Japan has become a very familiar name among anime fans and J-pop enthusiasts. Widely known for his enormous contributions to the popular anime series GIVEN, which premiered in 2019 and continued until the sequel movies released up to 2024, he has carved out his career with emotionally resonant and straightforwardly sentimental pop-rock tracks.

This year, he released his new studio album, Cafuné, which shares the title of his first-ever world tour. By nature, the Brazilian Portuguese word “cafuné” is a wondrous concept: it denotes the act of touching the strands of a loved one’s hair – the kind that lovers extend to express their affection, the kind that mothers give to soothe their child, the kind of touch that longs to heal someone. It is such a small yet meaningful gesture, filled with warmth and tenderness, and precisely enough, it was exactly what Centimillimental’s concert was all about. 

Despite being an unusual venue for concerts and fanmeets, the area around Paco Arena was filled with people, who in their eagerness, queued as early as 1 PM. Presented by Wish Us Luck Entertainment, the concert turned out to be a wonderful success. Upon the show’s announcement, fans were quick to purchase tickets, reaching a sold-out capacity for general admission early. Centimillimental’s first visit to the Philippines was also packed with special activities, which included autograph signing, photo-ops, and a high-touch session for selected tiers. 

Making his entrance, Centimillemental performed the yearning “Kimi Omou Yoru” (The Night I Think of You) followed by “Tsukiakari” (Moonlight) while playing the keyboard. He was supported by a live band – 2 guitarists and 1 drummer. When he took the stage, he focused on his craft – he let his music run through him, singing and playing with unparalleled intensity. The crowd’s appreciation was the same as they cheered and sang along to each song. They vibed with the unabashedly upbeat “Super Ultra I LOVE YOU” and “Hitorigoto” (Talking to Myself). When he played tracks from GIVEN – songs like “Fuyu no Hanashi” (A Winter Story), “Umi e” (To the Sea), and “Kizuato” (Scar) – fans sang along like they were anthems.

Centimillimental was not a man of many words. In fact, he was rather timid on stage. Before playing certain songs, he would sometimes mention the title. When he addressed the crowd, he said in an apologetic tone while reading from his phone, “I can’t speak English very well.” Fans then gave reassuring cheers. He mumbled “salamat” while slightly raising his arm.

Despite this, he is a seasoned performer, both as a vocalist and a multi-instrumentalist. He switched from playing the keyboards to rocking out with a guitar flawlessly. His vocals in his recorded songs are already very emotionally-driven, but still, his live performance was even better. One prime example of this was when he played “Marutsuke”. While the spotlight was solely on him and his keyboards, he sang in such an impassioned tone that it was easy to feel the lonesome existentialism that lingered in the song. His passion for singing and playing music was palpable. It’s exactly what made his concert worthwhile. 

Toward the end of the concert, he took a photo with the crowd while holding a banner filled with their handwritten messages. For the encore, Centimillimental bid goodbye with “Hoshi Ga Furu” (Stars Are Falling) and “Yuigon”.

Last Saturday night, November 22, 2025, the Mall of Asia Arena was officially converted into the biggest, most electric dance floor in the Philippines. Global pop and R&B powerhouse Jason Derulo didn’t just perform; he unleashed a torrent of infectious energy, spectacular choreography, and pure charisma that defined the “Nu King World Tour” stop in Manila.

This highly anticipated comeback was made possible by L-Squared Productions Inc., a company that consistently proves its commitment to giving Filipino audiences something truly fresh and unforgettable. L-Squared didn’t just stage a concert; they created an experience, complete with an innovative SVIP Bar setup that would later become a pivotal part of the show itself.

The Concert: A Nonstop Hit Parade

From the instant the spotlights hit the stage, Jason Derulo, backed by a world-class live band and an impeccable dance crew, commanded every moment. It was a masterclass in pop performance, a relentless, high-octane celebration of his career that spanned over a decade.

For the Millennials in the crowd, the night was a powerful trip down memory lane. The arena erupted into a massive chorus frenzy as he powered through his biggest hits: “Swalla,” “Wiggle,” “Take You Dancing,” “Whatcha Say,” “Ridin’ Solo,” “In My Head,” and the show-stopping “Talk Dirty.”

But it was the performance of “Savage Love” that truly resonated. This pandemic-era smash hit, which became an unexpected anthem of hope and escape during the darkest days, took on new meaning. Derulo slowed the track down, delivering a moving, partially a cappella version that shifted the mood from party to powerful survival, reminding everyone what they had overcome.

In a move that highlighted the dynamic production standards L-Squared Productions is known for, Derulo broke the mold. When it was time for the hit “Trumpets,” he literally stepped off the main stage and commandeered the exclusive MOA Arena SVIP Bar set-up as his mobile stage. No barrier—big or small—could contain his energy as he used the custom space to get up close, driving the crowd into an absolute sing-along frenzy.

He also gave the eager Manila crowd the exclusive live debut of his latest release, “Who Hurt You,” which was met with deafening cheers, proving that while his classics are beloved, his new era is just as exciting.

The Celebration Continues: An L-Squared Signature

True to their promise of delivering unforgettable experiences that extend beyond the final curtain call, L-Squared Productions ensured the celebration didn’t stop at the arena. Following the epic concert, the action shifted to the official after-party at the luxurious Okada Manila. Surrounded by VIP guests, industry partners, and notable personalities, Derulo kept the energy flowing in an intimate setting.

Taking a moment to pause the celebration, the “Hollywood Nu King” raised his champagne glass and offered a sincere, heartfelt toast to everyone who made the night a success:

“I’m just so thankful, thank you to everybody who came out tonight. It was a humbling, full experience. You never know when you come somewhere else so far away from home, not knowing what the reception will gonna be. But I honestly felt like I’ve been right at home ever since I landed here in Manila. So, great job—from the bottom of my heart! And let’s keep the party going. Cheers!”

BLACKPINK made a triumphant return to the Philippines, delivering a five-act spectacle of high-energy group hits, captivating solo performances, and fan-fueled moments and reaffirming their status as global icons.

BLACKPINK delivered an explosive return to the Philippine concert scene as they brought their highly anticipated BLACKPINK DEADLINE WORLD TOUR concerts to the Philippine Arena last November 22 and 23, with the first night setting the tone for a weekend that reaffirmed their status as one of the most powerful and influential pop acts in the world, and solidifying the bond between BLACKPINK and the Filipino BLINK community—one that has consistently proven to be among the loudest and most passionate in the globe.

The concert opened with an explosive run of hits, starting with “Kill This Love,” followed by “Pink Venom” and “How You Like That.” The arena lit up in pink as tens of thousands of fans sang along, creating an electric atmosphere that carried through the night. BLACKPINK’s precise choreography, confident vocals, and high-energy staging reaffirmed their status as one of the most influential pop acts today. Performances of “Playing With Fire” and “Shut Down” further showcased the group’s evolution from their early era to their global superstardom.

The show’s second act featured solo stages. Jisoo performed “Hugs and Kisses” and “Earthquake,” showing her steady growth as a vocalist. Lisa followed with a standout set of “Thunder,” “When I’m With You,” and “Rockstar,” earning some of the night’s loudest cheers.

Reuniting in the third act, the group delivered fan favorites like “Pretty Savage,” “Don’t Know What to Do,” “Whistle,” “Stay,” and “Lovesick Girls,” turning the arena into a massive singalong and reminding fans of BLACKPINK’s signature sound through the years.

The fourth act centered on Jennie and Rosé. Jennie performed “Like Jennie,” “ExtraL,” and “Starlight,” displaying her signature confidence and refined solo style. Rosé followed with “Number One Girl,” “Toxic Till the End,” and “APT,” delivering emotional performances despite battling a cold, supported fully by fans.

The final act brought the energy to its peak with “Jump,” followed by the iconic hits “Boombayah,” “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” “As If It’s Your Last,” and “Forever Young.” The crowd matched their intensity from start to finish, proving once again why Filipino BLINKs are known for their unmatched enthusiasm.

The encore—featuring “Jump,” “Really,” and “See U Later”—served as a warm exchange of gratitude between BLACKPINK and their fans. The group spent time interacting with the audience, visibly touched by the overwhelming support.

BLACKPINK’s Deadline concert in the Philippines was a resounding success, showcasing top-tier production, dynamic performances, and a fanbase whose passion continues to make the country one of the group’s most memorable stops.

On October 8, the One Piece Music Symphony finally sailed to the Philippines, and it left an indelible mark on Filipino Nakamas who were there to see it. As early as 2:00PM, the hallways of the Theater at Solaire were filled by ardent fans who were dressed in their best pirate garb – hats, vests, weapons, plushies and smiles that are just as wide as Luffy’s. 

Presented by Film Concerts PH, the two-hour concert turned out to be one heck of an adventure as the Filharmonika Orchestra played the most heart-thumping, tear-jerking and laughter-inducing music composed by Kohei Tanaka for the beloved anime franchise: One Piece. The event was truly a joy for the audiences that clapped, gasped and even sang along as they played each song. At the end of it, the exultation was palpable, as seen when orchestra was awarded with an extensive standing ovation.

One Piece has become a global phenomenon – with the manga being the best-selling of all time and the anime series still running with 1,100+ episodes. It has spawned a numerous spin-offs, movies and even a live-action Netflix adaptation in 2023. 

Created by manga artist Eiichiro Oda, the story of One Piece revolves around a free-spirited boy named Monkey D. Luffy who has one dream: to be the King of Pirates. To achieve that, he sets sails across the vast world, gathering crew members that were to become part of his Straw Hat Pirates. In their journey to different islands, they help people, they overcome challenges, and in many instances, they end up toppling the world order. 

Since the release of the manga in 1997 and the anime in 1999, the series has been lauded for its extensive world-building, vibrant characterizations, and its profound exploration on world issues. One Piece fans have spent long years, even entire childhoods, following the saga, so the event was pretty darn important for them. Thankfully, the Filharmonika Orchestra did a fine job in honoring the fans’ memories of the series.

The One Piece Music Symphony was divided into two parts with a quick intermission in between. As the orchestra played, a video montage, devoid of dialogue, flashed in the big screen on stage – each scene seamlessly blended in with the music. It was almost as if the videos were choreographed to the beats and strings as they happened. 

The concert was a smooth expedition of the story, one arc at a time. The audience got to re-experience One Piece — from Alabasta down to Egghead — in full orchestral glory. It opened with “I’m Going to be Pirate King!”, featuring scenes from Luffy’s childhood up to the time he fiercely decided to set sail with his dream. This was followed by the individual theme of each Straw Hat crew member – Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, Chopper, Nico Robin and well, you know the drill. 

Imagine seeing snippets of the iconic One Piece scenes matched with the burgeoning battle music or the melancholic chords of “Mother Sea” as a montage of the characters crying when tragedy struck them. We won’t spoil much else, but you can definitely expect to see all the epic moments, with impeccable symphonic harmony and some liberating drum beats. The music swelled, as it was played by the Filharmonika Orchestra, intensifying the experience and making it feel more immersive. From the crowd, audible gasps of excitement and even sounds of stifled cries could be heard. 

The concert also welcomed a few sing-alongs which were no-brainers for real fans: “Binks’ Sake” and the quintessential opening theme: “We Are!”. Fans who were timid at first gradually found their voices and turned up their cheers as the show went on. 

Truly, the One Piece Music Symphony in Manila was a dream-come-true for longtime fans and anime enthusiasts. It took a long time for it to get here, but it was well worth the wait. Kudos to the Filharmonika Orchestra for masterfully playing through the dynamic One Piece soundtrack! The two-hour concert was so satisfying, it felt like a grand adventure; and celebrating it with fellow fans was priceless. 

Hoping for more anime-centric symphonies in the future!

The 2nd show was unfortunately postponed due to Typhoon Uwan, but look on the bright side: you can still catch the rescheduled show on January 11, 2026, 5:00 PM at The Theater Solaire. Those who purchased tickets will be prioritized, with the option to reschedule or refund. Public sale will open on December 2, 2025.

A Night of Passion, Purpose, and Pure Magic at the Smart Araneta Coliseum with THE JACKSON WANG!

Global pop sensation, rapper, and creative visionary Jackson Wang lit up the Smart Araneta Coliseum on November 2, 2025, as he brought his highly anticipated MAGICMAN 2 World Tour 2025–2026 to Manila. The sold-out concert marked a triumphant return for the Hong Kong-born artist who continues to push artistic boundaries and solidify his place as one of Asia’s most influential global performers.

Known for his magnetic presence, Jackson delivered a breathtaking show that combined theatrical production, intricate choreography, and emotional storytelling. From explosive, high-energy numbers to stripped-down, introspective moments, the concert showcased not only his versatility as a performer but also his evolution as an artist deeply in touch with his fans. “I just want to say that I’m just one of the millions of artists, and I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to be here to share my story with you,” he told the cheering crowd early in the show. “That’s why I repeatedly say thank you. Thank you for coming here, for taking the time and listening to my story.”

The Manila concert was more than a musical performance. It was a full-scale emotional journey. With each segment, Jackson invited fans into the world of MAGICMAN 2, a continuation of his artistic exploration that began with his 2022 album MAGICMAN. The first tour established his transformation from idol to independent creative, while MAGICMAN 2 brought an even deeper sense of introspection, growth, and authenticity. Every moment on stage was charged with emotion, as he performed with the confidence of a seasoned global artist yet the vulnerability of someone still searching for meaning through his craft.

Before his solo debut, Jackson rose to fame as a member of the internationally acclaimed group GOT7, captivating audiences worldwide with his charisma and talent. Since then, he has carved a unique path as a soloist, producer, and fashion icon under his label TEAM WANG records. With hits such as “100 Ways,” “Blow,” “Cruel,” and “Come Alive,” he has earned acclaim for seamlessly blending pop, R&B, and cinematic soundscapes while maintaining a deeply personal creative identity.

During his Manila performance, Jackson took time to connect with his fans on a more profound level. In a quiet moment between songs, he shared his reflections on life, perfection, and self-acceptance. “Life is hard, no matter what industry you are in,” he said sincerely. “Sometimes we all want to be perfect, right? Be happy. Find your own standard of happiness.”

For his Filipino fans, many of whom have followed him since his GOT7 days, the night carried deep significance. The Philippines has long been home to one of Jackson’s most passionate fanbases, and their unwavering support has mirrored his own growth as an artist. His return to Manila felt like a full-circle moment, a reunion built on mutual admiration and love. “Every time I come to the Philippines, I feel the love and energy,” he told the crowd before closing the show. “You make me feel at home.”

The concert’s success also reflected the continued rise of Asian artists on the global stage, with Jackson standing at the forefront of a movement that celebrates creativity without borders. His ability to bridge cultures and inspire fans across generations underscores the expanding influence of Asian music worldwide.

Brought to life by iMe Philippines in partnership with TEAM WANG records, the Manila leg of the MAGICMAN 2 World Tour stood out as one of the most remarkable live events of 2025. It was an unforgettable night of art, emotion, and humanity, a celebration not only of Jackson Wang’s evolution but also of the power of music to connect people through honesty, courage, and magic.

As the lights dimmed and the final echoes of applause filled the arena, it was clear that Jackson Wang had not just performed in Manila. He had shared a piece of his heart, leaving his audience inspired to live boldly, love freely, and, as he says, “live the magic.”

On October 8, Kawaii metal pioneers BABYMETAL took over the Araneta Coliseum for the Manila leg of their extensive 2025 to 2026 WORLD TOUR. The band, composed of Suzuka Nakamoto / Su-Metal, Momoko Okazaki / Momometal and Moa Kikuchi / Moametal, brought the raging intensity of metal with just about the right dose of saccharine J-pop. Presented by PULP Live World, the concert thrilled thousands and thousands of fans that had long waited to see the band live.

Hours before the concert, the perimeter of the Big Dome felt like a dark fashion runway. Black was the overarching theme, and the outfits came in all shapes and forms: BABYMETAL shirts, gothic lolita costumes  (corsets, fluffy balloon skirts, platform shoes, etc.), matched with kitsune masks, long coats and vibrant wigs. The concert is well overdue for longtime Filipino fans, and they made the effort to dress in style for their idols.

Since their formation in 2010, BABYMETAL has steadily made long-lasting waves in the world of music. When the song “Gimme Chocolate!!” went viral in 2014, it proved that their innovative fusion of metal and idol music became a magic formula could unlock a multiverse of wonders. They found a way to assimilate the sweet and upbeat pop flavor with the backdrop of face-melting distorted power chords and bludgeoning double to triple bass drum beats. BABYMETAL pulled off impeccable dance routines, pulled finger hearts and sang cheerfully amidst the chaos of metal music. 

Since then, the band had gained acclaim from music juggernauts like Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lady Gaga and Bring Me the Horizon. They had also been billed for some of the biggest music festivals in the world including Glastonbury, Rock Am Ring, Sonicsphere Festival, Download Festival and more.

Opening the show was METALVERSE which is essentially BABYMETAL’s sister group. Composed of Miko Todaka, Kokona Kato, and Sakia Kimura, the girls gave the crowd an electrifying performance.

The Big Dome fully roared to life when it was time for the main act to take the stage. BABYMETAL made their entrance, donning their trademark spiky, holographic dresses, to the pandemonium of “BABYMETAL DEATH”. Instantly, the crowd went wild, raising their fists plus kitsune hand gestures, and headbanging on beat, like a singular organism. This was followed by the 2012 classic “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!” and the festive “PA PA YA!!”.

Some familiar faces also made some special onscreen cameos, including Tom Morello (from Rage Against the Machine) during “METALI!!”, Electric Callboy during “RATATATA” and Poppy during “from me to u”.

The best thing about BABYMETAL’s concert is the sheer energy of it all. Well, essentially, metal and idol music are probably two of the most high-powered music genres to begin with. You mix them together, and the energy is just astronomically palpable. A sea of sapphire blue lightsticks stretched as far as the eye could see, the collective glow reflecting the devotion of thousands of fans who had gathered to witness the group’s Super Show 10, their seventh Super Show in the Philippines following previous stops with Super Show 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9. The sold-out crowd reflected the unwavering devotion of ELFs, creating an atmosphere charged with anticipation, nostalgia, and excitement. It was a night that went beyond a concert—it was a celebration of two decades of music, brotherhood, and shared history with a fanbase that has grown alongside them. From the first beat to the final bow, the arena pulsated with energy, nostalgia, and collective joy, illustrating the deep bond between the group and their Filipino fans.

American pop-punk band Mayday Parade rocked the Smart Araneta Coliseum last night, September 24, 2025, as part of their “Three Cheers for 20 Years” anniversary tour. It felt like a time machine back to the golden age of emo and pop-punk. The crowd turned the iconic venue into a sea of jumping bodies, loud choruses, and unfiltered nostalgia. This showed that the heartfelt anthems of the mid-2000s still hit just as hard in 2025.

Presented by PULP Live World, the concert marked the band’s biggest headline show in the country. Derek Sanders, the lead singer, and guitarists Alex Garcia and J.R. Wasilewski, bassist Mike Keel, and drummer Jake Bundrick didn’t waste any time getting into their hits. Derek walked onto the stage barefoot, which was a strange touch that made the night feel like a cozy jam session with old friends. His messy hair and easy smile were a reminder of why the band is still so popular: they are real, unpolished, and always relatable. The setlist started with the explosive songs “By the Way,” “Just Say You’re Not Into It,” “Three Cheers For Five Years,” and “Jersey.”

The song “Miserable at Best,” which has been on countless heartbreak playlists, brought the night to its emotional peak. On August 23, 2025, the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City glowed as fans filled the venue with chants, cheers, and unwavering devotion. From the moment the lights dimmed and the first notes of “Chains” pulsed through the speakers, the room erupted. For both HIGHLIGHT and their Filipino supporters, the Highlight Live 2025 [Ride or Die] in Manila was not just a concert but the continuation of a bond that had waited far too long to be rekindled.

The energy soared early as the group launched into “Chains,” “Switch On,” and “Stay,” immediately setting the tone for a night of energy and connection. From the very first note, the Filipino crowd proved their devotion, chanting every fanchant in perfect unison and singing along with a force that made the venue shake.

What followed was a whirlwind of emotion and nostalgia. “Shadow” and “Sad Movie” carried the bittersweet intensity that only HIGHLIGHT can deliver, with the crowd swaying in unison, hanging onto every lyric. The playful energy of “We Up” and “Dance With U” lifted the mood, drawing laughter as fans mirrored the members’ dance moves from the floor. “Hands Up” and “Celebrate” turned the theater into a party, while the Japanese track “Kimi Wa Dou?” became a reminder of how far their music has reached across borders and years.

On August 22, 2025, Manila witnessed a homecoming six years in the making as Park Bo-gum graced the Mall of Asia Arena for his “Be With You” fan meeting, delivering an evening that fans will cherish for years.

He began the night in a faux police uniform, greeting his beloved audience with heartfelt charm. Opening the show with the Korean songs “Annyeong” and “Just Fine,” Bo-gum set a warm and uplifting tone. Then, with genuine affection, he greeted fans directly: “Hello, everyone! Hello, Philippines! Thank you so much for your support and love. How have you been? It’s been a long time, right?” followed by, “I really, really missed you guys! I’m so happy to see you all!”

The fan meeting was beautifully structured like a train journey that took fans through three thematic “stations.” At the B-Cut Station, Bo-gum shared personal snapshots—including a touching photo of the bouquet fans had presented upon arrival, as well as a candid morning selfie. He said, “You guys are all my flowers… Please do not prepare or buy these flowers,” a comment that truly reflected how he treasures their genuine support.

At the B Station, he spoke about his projects from the past year. Expressing his gratitude, he said, “I think I have a lot of blessings this year, and also, at this moment, I’m receiving the blessings as well… I’m actually having a very thankful time because I was able to greet you with a lot of good projects… and also, meeting you guys, I’m feeling really blessed right now.” Watching a clip from When Life Gives You Tangerines, Bo-gum reflected, “It made me think about how to express love and what it means to be a good adult… I was able to finish this project with a heart filled with love and happiness.” He also revealed that during filming for Good Boy, he didn’t require a stunt double, making the performances even more authentic.
