SB19 and IV of Spades Lead Nominees for 39th Awit Awards

The official nominees for the 39th Awit Awards have been announced by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) in partnership with Go Live Asia.

The awards recognize excellence in Filipino recorded music across 34 categories. The grand ceremony is scheduled for September 15, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

P-pop group SB19 and rock band IV of Spades are among the leading contenders with multiple nominations in the major categories, joined by strong showings from Dionela, Cup of Joe, Maki, Ben&Ben, Lola Amour, and others.

Best New Artist nominees include Gab Cabangon (Pieces), New Lore (Grief Cake), VVINK and DJ Love featuring Pio Balbuena (“Baduy”), Jamiela (“Bendahe”), It All Started in May (“O’ Kay Tamis”), and nicole (“Panaginip”).

Producer of the Year nods went to Brian Lotho, IV of Spades, Shadiel Chan, John Paulo Nase, Joshua Daniel Nase, and Dionela.

Songwriter of the Year contenders are John Paulo Nase, Joshua Daniel Nase, Blaster Silonga, Daniel Zildjian G. Benitez, Tim Dionela, Lola Amour, Joao De Leon, and Marlon Peroramas.

In performance categories, Best Performance by a Solo Artist includes tracks by Janine Berdin, Maki, Noel Cabangon, dwta, Rico Blanco, Rob Deniel, and Jay R.

Best Performance by a Group features SB19 (“Dam”), Fitterkarma, IV of Spades (“Monster”), Ben&Ben (“Saranggola”), BINI (“Shagidi”), Over October (“Dahan”), and One Click Straight (“Telepono”).

Best Collaboration Performance nominees include Sarah Geronimo and SB19 (“Umaaligid”), One Click Straight featuring Clara Benin (“Telepono”), Dionela featuring Loonie (“Ikigai”), and others.

Genre categories span Best Ballad, Pop, Rock/Metal, Alternative, Dance/Electronic (with strong showings for SB19’s “DUNGKA!”), Rap/Hip-Hop, R&B, Jazz, World Music, and Traditional/Contemporary Folk, among others. Special categories cover regional recordings, Christmas, musical theater, original soundtracks, children’s music, novelty, inspirational, instrumental, and global collaborations (including BINI featuring Agnez Mo’s “Blink Twice” and Lola Amour with KOKORO of PSYCHIC FEVER).

Technical awards recognize sound engineering, musical and vocal arrangements, remixes, cover art, and music videos, with multiple entries from IV of Spades, SB19, Cup of Joe, Dionela, and others.


The Awit Awards, organized annually by PARI, celebrate artistry, songwriting, production, and technical craftsmanship in Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
