Josh Cullen brings the ideas behind his latest single “Like Me” to life in a striking new music video, transforming his collaboration with Jay Park into a sci-fi-inspired exploration of identity, imitation, and individuality.
Released via Sony Music Entertainment, “Like Me” is produced by Josh himself and co-written with Mathew Auditor and Jay Park. But while the song questions what happens when originality is shaped by imitation and algorithmic influence, its music video gives those ideas a visual language of its own.
Helmed by Josh Cullen alongside Iana Forbes and Louis Duran, the video places Josh in an otherworldly setting where movement, choreography, and visual details become extensions of the song’s themes. Intricate choreography and a commanding ensemble of backup dancers create a sense of repetition and synchronization, reflecting the tension between fitting into a system and maintaining an identity within it.
The result is a visual world that feels deliberately futuristic without losing its focus on performance. Josh moves through the video as both artist and storyteller, using dance as a way to explore the boundaries between individuality and imitation. The choreography becomes particularly central to the video’s narrative, emphasizing how easily identities can be replicated while underscoring what makes an individual distinct.
That tension sits at the heart of “Like Me.” Rather than framing adaptation as inherently negative, Josh’s concept recognizes transformation as part of artistic growth — while drawing a line between evolving with the world and becoming indistinguishable from everyone else.
The music video also marks another creative step for Josh, who takes a hands-on role beyond performing. From producing the track to co-helming its visual treatment, he helps shape “Like Me” as a cohesive piece of music and visual storytelling.
Josh debuted “Like Me” live during his solo showcase on September 26 at Samsung Hall in SM Aura, Taguig City. On October 2, selected fans will also get the chance to learn the song’s choreography at an exclusive dance workshop at SPAC3 Studios in Quezon City. More details are available here.
