OPM’s Heartbeat: The Sessionistas’ Third Reunion Hits Timeless Tunes, Timely Truths!

Doing a repeat concert can be thrilling, but it also comes with its own set of challenges, like when the show comes too similar to the first, providing a polished setlist, and building momentum. But not with iconic Filipino OPM supergroup, the Sessionistas. On October 18, 2025, The Theatre at Solaire transformed into a haven of nostalgia, love, and pure musical magic as The Sessionistas took the stage for Love, Sessionistas: The Repeat, their third reunion concert, following their sold-out February and April shows. Ice Seguerra, Nyoy Volante, Sitti, Duncan Ramos, Princess Velasco, Kean Cipriano, and Juris took us back to a soul-stirring celebration of timeless music, unbreakable friendship, and the enduring power of OPM.

From the moment the lights dimmed, the whole Solaire theater buzzed with anticipation. Directed by Ice Seguerra and musically helmed by Ivan Lee Espinosa, the production was a seamless blend of polished artistry and raw, heartfelt connection. The group opened the show with a Queen medley! “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love,” and “We Are the Champions!” were then followed by their Origin Medley, the songs that made them who they are today. Sitti performed her all-time favorite, “Tattooed on My Mind,” while Juris followed with “A Little Bit.” Ice took the stage and performed “Para lang Sa’yo,” followed by Duncan’s “Rainbow,” Nyoy’s “Someday,” Kean’s “Magbalik,” and Princess’s “Bad Romance.

Dear Sessionistas still stands out and is one of the crowd’s favorites. This is where fans submit letters about love (crushes, heartbreaks, triumphs) and life, which the artists read and respond to with songs fit to their stories. This night, “Count on Me,” “The Climb,” “Just the Way You Are,” and “Tuloy Pa Rin” were highlighted, and Kean’s advice of “Only those who quit fail” before the stage transitioned to “With a Smile” was followed by Kean’s “Susundan.”

Sessionistas Now – Another segment of amplifying the songs they personally wrote. “Hayaan,” “Lihim,” “The Right One,” “Ikaw ang wakas,” “Tell me now,” “Titingin Tingin,” and “Malinaw na Malabo.” The segment was then followed by performances for “Para Sa Akin” and “Nasaan.” They also delivered a Dance Break, a Rap Medley of “No Diggity,” “Superbass,” and “Lose Yourself,” and a BINI and SB19 performance. Nyoy, Duncan, and Kean performed a Big Band Medley of “Huwag Na Lang Kaya,” “Harana,” and “Buwan,” while Juris delivered a nostalgic blend of “Di lang ikaw,” and Ice performed a heartwarming stripped version of “Pagdating ng Panahon.”

Sessionistas let us enter their home while the girls, Juris, Sitti, and Princess, performed Sarah McLachlan’s “Little B,” and the boys rendered Coldplay’s “Fix You.” Ice, Juris, Sitti, and Princess thank each other for being there during the most difficult moments of their lives while they sing the best Filipino rendition of The Wicked’s “For Good,” followed by the top-notch song of 2025, “Golden,” by Huntrix.

The Sessionistas sing for a better Philippines, as they say, “Ang pinaka importanteng pagmamahal na dapat meron tayo ngayon ay ang pagmamahal para sa bayan. Sa lahat ng nangyayari ngayon, sana magkaisa tayo para ipakita sa bayan natin ang pagmamahal na karapat-dapat sa kanya. We want to pay tribute sa nangyayari sa kasalukuyan. Right now, we want to be conscious of everyone, para sa bayan. Mulat ang mga mata natin. Naririnig natin lahat, nakikita natin lahat. Naway managot ang mga kurakot, huwag nating kakalimutan.” They performed “Tatsulok” and “Halellujiah.” As the final chords of “I’ll Be There For You” echoed through The Theatre at Solaire, the crowd rose in a standing ovation—not just for the music, but for the memories, the message, and the magic that unfolded onstage.

The show wasn’t just a repeat—it was a reinvention. It was a masterclass in honoring the past while boldly embracing the present. From the thunderous Queen medley to the soul-baring “Dear Sessionistas” letters, every note stitched together a tapestry of memories, milestones, and the group’s genuine camaraderie, which made it feel like “home.”

Love, Sessionistas: The Repeat marked the third reunion concert of the iconic Filipino OPM supergroup, Sessionistas. The performance of these OPM powerhouse vocalists has become a symbol of timeless music and enduring friendship. Their concerts are more than performances, they’re shared experiences. A blend of nostalgic hits, heartfelt harmonies, fan stories, and reflections on love, life, and unity. The Sessionistas didn’t just sing; they reminded us why music matters. Why stories matter. Why connection, authenticity, and love—for each other and for the nation—matter.

And as the final notes rang out, what began as a one-off nostalgia event blossomed into a cultural phenomenon, one truth remained, the Sessionistas aren’t just artists, they are storytellers, soul-healers, and torchbearers of OPM’s heart.
