From Day One to a Future Perfect with Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki
Formed through the survival competition series I-Land, ENHYPEN, composed of Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki, received much anticipation from fans and the public ahead of their debut. Their official social media channels garnered more than one million followers ahead of their debut and their first extended play amassed more than 150,000 pre-orders within two days.
The boy group officially debuted with the release of Border: Day One, led by the single “Given-Taken”, on November 30, 2020. The extended play took the number one spot on the Gaon Album Chart and broke the record for the highest sales for a K-Pop group debuted in 2020 with more than 280,000 albums sold in its first week of release.
Such success extended to their next releases, breaking their previously set records with every album. Only a year after their debut, the boy group became million-sellers through their first studio album, Dimension: Dilemma which sold more than 1.1 million copies in two months following its release. They then repeated that feat with their third extended play, Manifesto: Day 1. The achievements made them the fastest K-Pop group to sell more than one million copies of two albums.
ENHYPEN continued to receive recognition for their works from various award-giving bodies, including Album Bonsang from the Golden Disc Awards, Best Performance Award from the Seoul Music Awards, and Artist of the Year from The Fact Music Awards. Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki also received nominations in this year’s Mnet Asian Music Awards under the categories Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10, Best Male Group, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Vocal Performance (Group) for “Polaroid Love”.
In addition to all the accolades, this year marked another milestone for the boy group as they embark on their first world tour, MANIFESTO, which kicked off with two concerts in Seoul in September. They then brought the tour to the United States, followed by Japan. In 2023, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki will perform in Thailand and the Philippines in January and February 2023, respectively.

It was a day to remember as Macbeth celebrated their 20th anniversary worldwide and its 10th anniversary in the Philippines. They treated their supporters with a successful Macbeth Music Festival: The 20th Anniversary Show (Concert + Fashion Show). Thousands of OPM band fans and fashion lovers packed the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig City on October 8, 2022. The brand has created a 20+ band line up across different genres focused on the mainstream and underground music communities, merged with a fashion show.
The show has two connecting stages that give a unique runway with a back-to-back music experience to the audience. Rouge, an all-female band, opened the show with their lit performances, followed by Imbue No Kudos, Shotgun Combo, Lilith, Divina, and Written by the Stars. Other OPM bands were also present at the show, such as CHNDTR, Snakefight, Sucketseven, Fragments, Fastpitch, Even, Hilera, and Chocolate Factory rendered their one-of-a-kind rock n’ roll performances, which graced the attendees. The Soapdish and Mayonnaise bands, also celebrating their 20th anniversary, serenaded the crowd with their nostalgic songs, which everybody enjoyed.
After the iconic band “Sandwich” performance and before the fashion show started, a tribute LED clip for Jamir Garcia was shown. Garcia, the late vocalist of Slapshock, had a massive part in Macbeth’s milestone here in the Philippines.
Macbeth sets the pace with new collections launched at its first Fashion Show Concert event during Philippine Fashion Week. They showcased their three collections, the (1) Denim Collection, (2) Rock Collection, and the (3) 20th Anniversary Collection. While the 30 models are on their catwalks, the Macbeth All-Stars and Superbands also added some spice as they slay the runway with their carefully selected head-banging track list, which pays homage to the years when Macbeth started. Included in the song list are the following: Know Your Enemy by Green Day, Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind, Torn by Natalie Imbruglia and In Too Deep by Sum 41 played during โDenim Collectionโ.
For Macbeth All Stars โThe Switchโ they played Swing Swing by The All-American Rejects, and Thatโs What You Get by Paramore. Next on the list are Misery Business by Paramore, Teenagers by My Chemical Romance, One Step Closer by Linkin Park, My Friends Over You by New Found Glory, and Last Resort by Papa Roach played during โRock Collectionโ. For Macbeth All Star โMix Jamโ they played Ever Long and My Hero by Foo Fighters, followed by the song list for the โ20th Anniversary Collectionโ such as The Anthem by Good Charlotte, Whatโs My Age Again? by Blink-182, and Still Waiting by Sum 41. All the songs used were from the eras of the 90s and 2000s which is the root of Macbeth.
The jampacked amazing performances by Rico Blanco, Urbandub, and Chelsea Alley, left a mark as one of the memorable moments for the attendees and ended the show.
Aside from the concert and fashion show, Macbeth also invited their partners Ducati Philippines, and endorsers for Macbeth Machines line Multi Awarded International Racers — TJ Alberto (Access Plus Racing/Ducati), Norman Agojo, and Jay Taruc (Newscaster One PH and Ride PH Host) that also attracts the attention of the attendees and enjoys taking selfies with the cool drift cars and motorcycles during the event. There were also different personalities and celebrities spotted at the venue, and they were given a chance to be part of the exclusive mini-press conference during the music festival.
Behind this successful RAD event is Mr. Harold Solomon, the CEO of RAKISTA (REC Productions), who is also known to be the mastermind of the biggest OPM rock concerts in the Philippines, the “Rakrakan Festival.” The RAKISTA (REC Productions) team organized this collaborative “Macbeth Music Festival: The 20th Anniversary Show (Concert+Fashion Show)” directed by Mr. Benjie Estanislao and headed by the Marketing Manager of Macbeth, Ms. Rhome Yu.
The event was also sponsored by Ducati and Eurotel, who also participated during the event, and the attendees excitedly mobbed their booths.
It was a mixed emotion for both RAKISTA and the MACBETH team as they ended the show with a triumph and the whole team was grateful to all the people who came and witnessed the celebration of MACBETH’s 20 rocking years.

Eric Nam is coming back to the Philippines for a night full of fun with Filipino Nam Nation!
The multi-talented Eric Nam will make his way back to the Philippine concert stage on November 10 at the Samsung Hall, kicking off the Asia leg of his There and Back Again tour in the country.
The multi-hyphenate promises a fun-filled concert — with a lot of singing and dancing — that will show a performance he is confident in and happy with for his Filipino Nam Nation. “That type of positive energy I have doing the show, it connects with the people who are watching and they walk away having had a good time,” he told Philippine Concerts in an exclusive interview. He will perform his best hits, including tracks from his latest album, There and Back Again, particularly “I Don’t Know You Anymore”, “Wildfire”, and “Any Other Way”, which he is most excited to bring to the stage for his local fans.
The upcoming Manila stop of There and Back Again marks Eric Nam’s first concert in the country after almost three years since his concert in 2020. The singer-songwriter recounted roaming around the Metro and having good food. He also expressed admiration for Filipinos, lauding their love for the arts. “I feel like the people in the Philippines are so warm and so kind. More than anything, they love music. That’s what I really respect and love about Filipino people — You have a deep understanding and love for the arts,” he remarked.
In addition to reuniting with his Filipino fans, the tour, together with the album, marked a significant milestone in his career. The There and Back Again album served as his first release as an independent artist, following the end of his contract under his former agency. He admitted that going independent offers both pros and cons. “Being an independent artist is at times great and at times very difficult,” he said.
Still despite everything, he is happy and grateful to be an independent artist and be in control of his own career. “I think it’s really great that I am able to put music out, to tour the world, act in things, and take part in really cool projects as an independent musician. For that, I’m really grateful,” he added.
Moreover, the seven-track album signified his journey coming to South Korea to professionally pursue music and returning to the United States to continue what he started overseas and pursue his lifelong dream to be a singer in the US. And the journey there and back again was daunting, said Eric Nam. “Taking that journey, which almost took me ten years in Korea, and coming back to the States and reimagining and reengineering my career here was a daunting and very scary task,” he remarked. But the shift was also something he believes he had and wanted to do. It was a big shift — not only in terms of his career, but life in general.
Eric Nam came to South Korea in 2011 to compete in the second season of Star Audition: Birth of a Great Star. The following year, he officially signed under a label to debut as a solo artist, and the rest, as often said, is history. The singer-songwriter considered that period a “very momentous, important period” in his life. “It still is,” he said.
The year 2022 also marked ten years since he officially started his professional music career in South Korea. It was a decade of figuring things out about himself, what he wants to do, what he wants to create with his time on Earth. According to him, he spent those years figuring and experimenting various things in the entertainment world which he was happy and grateful to have the chance to do.
Despite the ups and downs of the past ten years, the multi-talented star lives without regrets. I try not to have regrets because you tend to dwell on the past and not think about how you can improve for the future, ” he remarked. He admitted that there were instances he wanted to quit or wished he never started, but he considers those moments as significant to his journey.” I take it as a pat on the back like ‘Hey, you got through it. Now, do whatever uou you want to do,” he said.
Aside from music, Eric Nam is known for the many hats he wears and different projects he undertakes, including MINDSET by DIVE Studios, a wellness platform that creates a space where people will feel safe to be seen and heard. “We created MINDSET because we believe that, sometimes, you just need to hear that you are not alone in whatever struggle or hardship you are going through,” he said. MINDSET has featured artists from various countries and genres who share their stories, including members of SEVENTEEN, GOT7, (G)I-DLE, iKON, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and more. Given the chance, he also wish to have members of BTS and BLACKPINK on the platform. “They give us incredible performances and music, but at the same time, I’m sure they go through a lot of things that we all go through. To hear those conversations — not necessarily negative stuff — but to hear about the struggles they have, just very normal struggles, and for us to feel seen and to feel heard and to feel connected in that way. I think it will be incredible,” he said.
Eric Nam hopes that the platform become an avenue for mental health awareness. “It’s not always the easiest because we are very sensitive in terms of how we tell stories — important stories. I hope people are being positively affected by it and are enjoying and appreciating the content,” he added.
With everything he is already doing, Eric Nam promises that there is more to look forward to in the future. He will make his acting debut with Transplant that he hopes will open more actinh projects for him.
The singer-songwriter is also back in the studio, working on a new album for next year. A secret new music project is in the works and will be out in January 2023. He also teased new contents for DIVE Studios and MINDSET are coming. In addition, he revealed that he started to write and produce for TV shows and movies.
“It’s a lot of things, but for me, I’ve found that having a lot of things encourages my curiosity and creativity, so they kind of work together and I’m able to pull from different sides. That’s what I’ve enjoyed about my creative process,” he shared.
And Eric Nam hopes that with all the things to come, his Nam Nation will be there for it and like it. Before all the big treats for next year, the multi-talented star will treat his fans to more concerts as he brings There and Back Again tour to Asia, starting with the Philippines.
“All my Filipino Nam Nation, thank you so much for waiting for three years to see me. I’ve been so excited about going back to the Philippines and I can’t wait to see you. We’re gonna have a great time. The show, I promise you, is a lot of fun. It’s unlike anything you’ve seen. It’s gonna be a blast. Come on with comfortable shoes on and be ready to sing. I can’t wait to see you. Thank you so much for the love,” expressed the singer-songwriter.

Eric Nam will be performing live and bringing a live band along for a fun-filled evening at the Samsung Hall on November 10. Tickets to the show are available via SM Tickets outlets and online.
Illiteracy is a key issue that hampers an individual’s ability to function in society. It limits employment opportunities and perpetuates the cycle of poverty. In the Philippines, pockets of illiteracy remain despite having a basic literacy rate of more than 95%.
Recognizing the crucial role literacy plays in uplifting lives, Globe has partnered with NABU, a reading app and mother tongue publishing platform that makes literacy accessible to children globally. Based in New York, NABU is a nonprofit organization focused on eradicating poverty through increased literacy.
The partnership is in line with Globeโs commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including UN SDG No. 4 on the provision of quality education, and UN SDG No. 17, which highlights the value of partnerships in achieving the sustainable development goals.
“Globe is always looking for ways to empower Filipinos. We believe that literacy is a fundamental right that should be accessible to everyone. This partnership with NABU will help us make reading more accessible to Filipinos, so they can learn, appreciate local culture, and reach their full potential,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer of the Globe Group.
“We are excited to be partnering with Globe on this project. This is the first time that we are venturing into the Philippine market. We are confident that this partnership will help us solve the imbalance in childrenโs book creation and distribution,โ said Tanyella Evans, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Creator of NABU.
According to a joint report released by the United Nations Childrenโs Fund (UNICEF), the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the World Bank titled โWhere are we on Education Recovery?,โ the Philippines is currently experiencing a โlearning povertyโ where an estimated 70% of 10-year olds in low- and middle-income countries are unable to read or comprehend a simple story.
Their findings also showed how learning has become further exacerbated by the global pandemic, driven by the disruption to in-person schooling.
Through this partnership, Globe will serve as a distribution unit for NABU’s e-books throughout the Philippines to complement studentsโ learning. Anyone can access the Nabu.org mobile app for free.
Together, the two organizations are bringing more than a hundred Filipino books, with some translated into regional languages such as Hiligaynon, Bicolano, Ilokano, Cebuano, and Maranao. NABU believes that helping children read in their local language first allows their confidence to grow. Having culturally-represented, original, and relatable stories in bilingual text increases the childโs motivation to read.
Over the next two years, Globe and NABU will seek to expand the platformโs reach by partnering with schools and learning facilities. NABU is also excited to hone the skills of Filipino creatives such as writers and illustrators to continue telling and creating more stories that reach a wider audience.
The NABU: Multilingual Kids Books app may be downloaded for free on Google Play Store and App Store. For further details, visit https://www.nabu.org/read/ or https://www.nabu.org/tl/philippines.
Globe has always been a strong advocate of reading and comprehension. It has the Globe eLibrary mobile app and website (https://globeelibrary.ph/), which contain hundreds of English classic titles, age-appropriate storybooks, eLearning videos, and other resource materials that can be viewed online or downloaded for later use.

Three months after holding the number one spot on Netflix, the return of the dark fantasy series is finally going to happen.
The Sandman, which was produced and distributed by Netflix, was unquestionably one of the most anticipated works of 2022. The hugely acclaimed and influential comic book series authored by Neil Gaiman served as the inspiration for the television show, which made its debut on August 5th. The Sandman was not quickly renewed despite the acclaim of critics and the great reaction it had upon its initial premiere. Nevertheless, the streaming service Netflix has just announced that the show would continue for a second season.
The streaming giant made the announcement on Twitter with a brief teaser video that showed Morpheus’s iconic mask emerging from a bed of sand.
Yes, itโs true: The Sandman will return to Netflix!
"There are some astonishing stories waiting for Morpheus & the rest of themโฆ Now itโs time to get back to work. Thereโs a family meal ahead… And Lucifer is waiting for Morpheus to return to Hell," says @neilhimselfpic.twitter.com/TbA3hnD5f6
There has been no announcement made regarding the release date of the second season or the total number of episodes that it will contain.
On the other hand, it would appear like an agreement has been reached. And this is fantastic news because The Sandman, which has been in development hell for decades, has finally emerged as the best adaptation we could have hoped for.

Morpheus, portrayed by Tom Sturridge, is the main character of the Sandman series. Morpheus is the personification of dreams and the ruler of the realm known as “The Dreaming.” After escaping a century-long captivity, Morpheus embarks on a mission to retrieve stolen personal artifacts and bring his realm, which had fallen into disrepair in his absence, back to its former glory. In addition to the mesmerizing performance that Tom Sturridge gave as Morpheus/Dream, the rest of the cast, led by Kyo Ra/Vanesu Samunyai as Rose Walker, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Boyd Holbrook as the Corinthian, and Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven, gave outstanding and enigmatical turns as well. This allowed the series to shine brighter than it otherwise would have. Other notable cast members included Mason Alexander Park as Desire, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer Morningstar, David Thewlis as John Dee, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, and David Thewlis as John Dee. Other notable cast members included Mason Alexander Park as Desire.
Pinoy rock queens Acel Bisa, Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, Hannah Romawac, Kitchie Nadal, and Lougee Basabas will come together for TANAW, a concert that celebrates Filipino music, rekindles past loves, and welcomes newfound inspiration.
Prior to taking the stage at The Theatre at Solaire on November 26 for a one-night-only concert, OPM icons Hannah Romawac, Acel Bisa, Aia De Leon, and Lougee Basabas granted Philippine Concerts an exclusive interview where they talked about the upcoming show, OPM, and so much more.
Philippine Concerts: For a one-night-only performance at The Theatre at Solaire, TANAW brings you together. How do you feel about getting together for this unique concert?
Hannah Romawac: So many feelings but what really shines through is gratefulness.
Acel Bisa: I feel excited, thrilled, and honestly so honored to share the stage again with Aia, Barbie, Hannah, Lougee, and Kitchie.
Aia De Leon: Feels like a beautiful resurrection. On the heels of a jarring pandemic, there was a shift in the way I saw the time, quality, and the things that remain to be the most important things in life. The fellowship with these ladies is one of them. There is no other group of people who will have understood the fullness of my life, in every aspect, except for these ladies.
We grew up in an era together, we paid our dues together. We share a profound joy in making music, writing songs, and performing them in front of a live audience.
We’ve never braved a celebration on this scale together before, and I feel very blessed to be a part of this.
PC: What does TANAW signify to you?
Hannah: The word itself means to either look back or look forward. The word has fluidity. Itโs not stagnant which is something I could say the same about the women in this show.ย
Acel: To me โTanawโ signifies a deep hope. It is looking from afar, reflecting and enjoying the nostalgia of the past, yet more than just merely looking into an unknown future, a state of living in the present, still vibrant, full of energy, aspiration, and hope.
Aia: It could’ve been BALIK TANAW. But it isn’t. TANAW is to build further from what we’ve sown.
PC: What can your fans expect from the concert and what kinds of performances can we look forward to on November 26?
Hannah: Will definitely play the music that will make you feel like it was 2004, but also have lovely collaborations with the ladies.
Acel: For sure we will reminisce and enjoy each otherโs solo performances โ The hits of way back, and also for my slot, I will share a new song I wrote that is very special to me. There will also be some collaborations that weโve been practicing. The evening will be something we all dreamt of doing and so happy that it will finally become a reality.
Aia: 3 hours, to celebrate YOUR best life.ย
PC: You have demonstrated your enduring power with sold-out tours and concerts, chart-topping songs and albums, and a devoted fanbase, starting from your early days as lead vocalists of the late โ90s/early 2000s bands to forging your identity as individual artists. How would you sum up your musical and professional development throughout the years?
Hannah: Itโs hard to sum up something thatโs ever-changing. Music to me has been the longest relationship Iโve ever been in. Weโve had a lot of ups and downs. Iโve fallen in and out of love with it but somehow still find my way back. Through the years it has taught me resilience, courage, kindness, and love. For that, I will always be grateful.ย
Acel: To be honest, and more than what people remember from nearly two decades ago, from an artistic point-of-view I never really โleftโ making music. Iโd like to think my music has always been incrementally growing. When I transitioned and became a solo artist in 2008, it was a bit challenging for me to start, but through the years I learned to enjoy working with different musicians, arrangers, and producers.
For sure โ more than the hit songs, Iโve continued to write new songs, continued to collaborate, and never really stopped recording and producing. What thrills me the most is that, over the years, the musicians I get to work with are getting younger and younger โ and the technology to execute the sounds is more available and so much more impressive than ever before.
To sum it up: Iโd like to think of my music as โmulti-generationalโ. I donโt think Iโll ever stop, really.
Aia: The ebb and tide revealed to me who I was and who I should work to become. The path has not always been clear, impostor syndrome can eat up a good woman sometimes. But a significant realization for me was that I have my community (at different eras in my life) to thank, of whom without, none of any amount of success I had would’ve happened to me.
PC: How would you characterize the current situation of Filipino music, particularly Filipino rock?
Hannah: In general, Filipinos listen to Western music more than their own. Pre-pandemic, that demand is fed by an influx of international acts coming to the country. That gave Filipinos more access and connection to the artist and their music.
Somehow the pandemic changed that. With Live music taking a break, borders closing, and no international artist access, Filipinos started to look inward and appreciate the uniqueness and ability of OPM artists to experiment with various styles and genres. Looking at the charts now, most of them are new OPM artists. The pandemic ushered in a rebirth of the 90s OPM golden ageโ2.0.
Filipino Rock is the cornerstone of OPM. One of the, if not the, most dynamic and vibrant categories of the local music scene. Itโs incredible how there are a lot of very young talented artists just making their music the way they want to. So unique and creative.
Back in our time, there was a mold you follow whether you were rock, pop, ballads, etc. But these days, since kids have more access to new technology, they experiment with a lot of different sounds/styles and make their own version of rock and itโs amazing!
Acel: Right now itโs at levels weโd never imagined. Itโs so wonderful to see home-grown Filipino musicians getting international attention even. Iโm not too updated with the โrockโ scene itself. I donโt think there is much of a distinction anymore when it comes to a musical genre. I believe the lines are somewhat blurred and people donโt really talk about the underground purity of โrockโ or โalternative rockโ as they used to before. It seems that today, pretty much everybody is a โrockstarโโฆ and while that could be a funny thing. It is also a serious thing. Sometimes we all need to be reminded to stay true and to stay humble.
Aia: Many doors have been opened, and many ears are tuned in. I celebrate how far the scene has gone and the stretch of greatness it’s headed towards.ย
Lougee Basabas: The pandemic has brought about a collaborative spirit and a strong sense of solidarity among artists. The Philippine band scene is slowly setting its wheels in motion, opening its gates to live events once again. The energy that both performers and audience have clamored for in the past years has brought back a great sense of nostalgia, a familiar sense of belonging. It’s exciting to witness the band scene coming to life again.
PC: What steps do you believe need to be taken for OPM to grow even more?
Hannah: I think this doesnโt just apply to OPM or music. Whatever endeavor we all take in life, if we try our best to be kind to one another, we can all move through life with a bit more empathy for others. When we encourage and support, then we can all thrive.
Acel: Thereโs plenty of room for growth but in order to grow: I think the very first step, I believe, as artists, is to recognize that we are not โin competitionโ with each other.
Especially in this day and age when there are pressures in so-called metrics like view counts or stream counts โ It is so tempting to compare and feel discouraged or depressed when there are comparisons being made. We forget that these are not a reflection of each otherโs true artistic value.
As Filipino musicians, we all have a beautiful song worth listening to and there will always be someone on the other end of their headset, wherever in the world they may be, from whatever background they may come from, whose life will be moved when they listen and sing-along to our songs.
Aia: To not stop? I think this is the only pressure one should carry on their shoulders.ย
PC: What advice do you have for aspiring Filipino musicians?
Hannah: Be brave. A lot of things might not go the way you plan them out but just push through. Keep being creative and collaborate with people that inspire you.ย
Acel: Know your own voice โbe inspired but do not imitate. Go deep into your heart to find your biggest โwhyโ in making music. Doing it for fame and money would just kill the life in you. Do it because the art gives you joy and do it with a purpose that would echo in eternity, for that purpose, is the fuel that makes the passion burn. Steward this gift with care, love, and responsibility. Your song has the power that can bring healing and hope.
Aia: Forget the fame, grow the love for music.ย
PC: What is your final message to your fans?
Hannah: A big thank you to all of you out there. Your support through the years is something I will forever cherish.
Acel: Thank you for your continuous support of my music. It gives me the joy to know that my music and the songs I work on together with my musician friends continue to bring comfort and hope.
Aia: This is not my final message, but it is a message of gratitude. Many many times you have been a godsend; you who took the time to brave a gig alone and led to braving more gigs alone, you who walked up to me and said, “You made songs that talked me out of suicide”, you who seized me by the shoulders saying, “DON’T STOP”
Your voices agitated the dying hope I have at certain moments in my life, your encouragement stomped out the fires of doubt, and you listened when no one else would. And even now you still wait for things to be written and sung. By me.ย
Thank you for the life you breathe in me.ย May your belief repower my courage.

Top K-Pop performers and the best Filipino artists came together for Hallyuween 2022 to create the most extraordinary and magical concert the Philippines has ever witnessed.
Presented by PULP Live World, the first K-Pop Halloween party ever held in the Philippines, Hallyuween 2022, delivered on its promise of being a unique occasion with a lineup that combines K-Pop, P-Pop, and drag, excellent music that gets you moving, enjoyable activities for every participant, the chance to dress up and go all out with your costume, a dance floor, and much more.
K-Pop and P-Pop acts and Philippine drag queens came together for an extraordinary Halloween party. Prior to the main event, the artists met up with the members of the press for a media conference.
Minty Fresh, Lady Gagita, and Lady Morgana launched the Hallyuween 2022 stage, demonstrating what Philippine drag is all about and getting the party started. Lady Gagita and Lady Morgana sang Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” respectively, while Minty Fresh did Ariana Grande’s “Break Free.”
Gaho and the band Kave took the stage next, bringing back all the K-Drama emotions with live renditions of “Start Over” from Itaewon Class and “Running” from Start Up, as well as their finest songs and a cover of BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That.” Gaho also stepped down and interacted with the fans.
The crowd cheered louder as PENTAGON returned to the Philippine concert stage for Hallyuween 2022, making Universe’s dream a reality. The boys put on fantastic performances, including “Feelin Like,” “Call My Name,” and “Shine.”
The artists expressed excitement to take part in the first K-Pop Halloween party in the Philippines.
BGYO, the Aces of P-Pop, demonstrated what Filipino talent is all about by performing a medley of their greatest hits, including “The Light,” “Kundiman,” and their most recent single, “Magnet.” The quintet, the only P-Pop group in the lineup, hailed performing at the event as an honor and a dream come true.
KARD, who arrived in the most amazing Halloween costume, left the audience wanting more with renditions of their best hits, including “Ring the Alarm,” “Oh NaNa,” “Don’t Recall,” and others. Taking over from KARD, EPIK HIGH heightened the excitement that evening with “NO THANXXX,” spending no time in getting everyone on their feet with high-energy performances such as “Burj Khalifa,” “One,” and “Born Hater.”
The Hallyuween 2022 crowd has not had the time to recuperate from the seemingly never-ending amazing stages when the baddest female, CL, approaches the stage with her oozing charisma and unshakeable stage presence. Her much-anticipated performance at the event marked her triumphant return to the Philippine concert stage. And, in classic CL fashion, the rapper did not disappoint, bringing nostalgia on stage with an entrance to 2NE1’s “I Am The Best,” before treating everyone to a parade of her best hits including “Spicy,” “Hwa,” “The Baddest Female,” “Chuck,” “Doctor Pepper,” and “Hello Bitches.”
And the party experience will not be complete without DJ Soda’s incredible performance, which had the crowd dancing and rocking out for a full Halloween party experience like no other. The renowned DJ got the celebration going and the energy stayed high till the conclusion.

Hallyuween 2022 gave an all-encompassing experience that included Halloween, K-Pop, P-Pop, drag, and party in a single show, making it really unique. With an incredible roster, well-thought-out fan experiences, and more, the first K-Pop Halloween party in the Philippines was an event we want to attend every year.
Hallyuween 2022 was presented by PULP Live World. Special thanks to PULP Live World for the invite.

Expect KROMA to keep forging trailblazing paths in the entertainment industry.
The Philippine concert debut of TOMORROW X TOGETHER has sparked a lot of excitement as it marked the first concert of the fourth-generation leaders since they debuted more than three years ago.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER brought their first world tour to a close in Manila on October 27 and 28 at the Mall of Asia Arena with thousands of MOAs attending the back-to-back shows on both days. The tour was called ACT: LOVESICK.
The boys exactly appeared on stage at 7:30 p.m. and launched the show with their 2021 hit single “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)” without wasting any time. Taehyun, Beomgyu, and HueningKai sang Itchyworms’ famous ballad “Akin Ka Na Lang” in tribute to their Filipino MOAs.
Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HueningKai held their first solo concert in the Philippines. (Photos from TXT’s official Twitter )
Both performances lasted three hours and featured nearly 30 songs in their extensive setlists, with the goal of making every memory with their beloved MOAs count. The difference between seeing them in person and on a screen is enormous. The aura that TXT and MOAs members convey with their presence cannot be captured by a camera.
They have expanded significantly since their debut. As performers, they are more fluid and vocally phenomenal, with the maturity and ease that come with experience. They are more active in the creative development of their songs as artists โThe repertoire for this tour is composed of songs co-written and produced by the group members from before their debut to the present day.
And as idols, they are more secure in their own skin and have greater freedom of expression. ACT : LOVESICK illustrates this intricate journey through a succession of high-budget theatrical vignettes and symbolic stage settings. A garden blossoms into a peaceful woodland, illuminating their “Magic Island” where they may retreat together. Insecurity and anxiety, however, lit their dream fire and threw their world into disarray.

Over the course of the night, they showed how good they were at both big-sounding pop and nuanced ballads. The loudest roar of the night came when the familiar opening keyboard stab of their bubbly debut single “Crown” was played perfectly. “Magic” and “Blue Hour” were dazzling and full of energy. “Trust Fund Baby” and “Anti-Romantic” showed off their ballads, especially Taehyun’s, who put as much emotion and energy into singing as he did into dancing.
On the flip side, darkness fell during “Maze in the Mirror,” “Eternally,” and “Can’t You See Me”โa moody trio about being alone. In a similar way, Yeonjun owned “Frost” and “New Rules” with an impressive spotlight dance solo and sinister facial expressions.
Before making an offer of their final farewell, the members promised to return soon with a larger venue. They ended their last show for ACT: LOVESICK tour with a surprise performance of โOur Summer,โ dedicated to their fans, and then took a bow amid the loud cheers and applause of their fans who are holding on to the promise of Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HueningKai for another meeting with their Philippine MOAs.
