Netflix’s upcoming Korean romantic comedy series Our Sticky Love has released its main poster and trailer, offering a charming first look at the sticky, sweet romance between an amnesiac prosecutor and a small-town boxing coach. The series premieres August 7, exclusively on Netflix.
Starring Ha Young as Go Eun-sae and Jung Hae-in as Jang Tae-ha, the show follows Eun-sae, an ambitious prosecutor who wakes up in a rural hospital with complete memory loss. She finds herself in the quiet Taffy Village (Yeot Village) in Gujin-gun, where Tae-ha, a former boxing champion turned local coach, calmly claims to be her boyfriend. What begins as a bewildering arrangement quickly turns into cohabitation filled with quirky chemistry, fish-out-of-water comedy, and underlying secrets.
The main poster captures the pair’s tangled dynamic perfectly: Eun-sae grips Tae-ha by the collar with a pout, while her prosecutor ID and swirling luxury items contrast with their rural setting. The tagline “Sweetly tangled. Hopelessly stuck!” nods to the series’ central metaphor of traditional Korean taffy (yeot) sticky, sweet, and impossible to pull away from once you’re caught.
In the trailer, Eun-sae’s confusion is front and center. The quiet village lined with traditional taffy shops and its peculiar residents feel alien to her big-city sensibilities, and Tae-ha’s scruffy appearance is a far cry from her usual type. She struggles to trust a word he says. Yet his steady warmth and earnest admiration gradually chip away at her defenses. Sweet lines and gentle affection leave her flustered and smiling, even as Tae-ha warns that no one can find out about them, hinting at deeper mysteries surrounding why she’s safest by his side and what truly binds them together.
Director Kim Jang-han describes the series as “a heart-warming, feel-good romantic comedy” about building a love that sticks “as tightly as sticky, sweet Korean taffy.” The irresistible charm, he promises, will leave viewers unable to pull themselves away.
With Jung Hae-in’s easy charm and Ha Young’s sharp comedic timing, Our Sticky Love looks set to deliver the perfect blend of heart, humor, and just the right amount of mystery.
