Disney On Ice is back at Manila’s Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena from December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, with its magical show, Magic in the Stars. The theme for this year is “Magic and the Stars.” It takes families on a journey through the stars where wishes light up the night sky and classic Disney stories are mixed with new ones. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Goofy host the show, which has 56 Disney characters, more than ever before. It’s a celebration of storytelling, song, and amazing ice-skating skills that people of all ages can enjoy. For a lot of Filipino families, it’s not just a show; it’s a beloved holiday tradition that brings joy, connection, and wonder.
This show turns the arena into a starry wonderland, where every story starts with a wish on a star. Young viewers and their families will glide through a tapestry of beloved Disney stories, brought to life with breathtaking choreography, vibrant costumes, fire dancers, high-flying acrobatics, and interactive elements that pull audiences into the magic. From the moment families enter the venue, the immersion begins: pre-show merchandise booths buzz with excitement, building anticipation as curtains rise to unveil the main cast. This edition has a special meaning for Filipino families. It has been a holiday tradition since 1990 (it will be 35 years old in Manila in 2025) and includes local touches like adobo dinners after the show or sing-alongs to “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto. One highlight was when a skater dressed as Princess Tiana talked about how excited she was to bring her character to life, saying, “It’s an honor to bring her character to life, who is so hardworking and resilient…” I hope that everyone has seen that all of our hard work paid off. It’s a nod to not giving up, which is similar to how many families have traveled.
