    Ever wanted to experience Tomorrowlandin the Philippines? Project Horizon is doing just that with Horizon Halloween this October 26 at Bridgetowne Central Park. 

    Horizon Halloween boasts a star-studded lineup alongside a collaboration with Monstercat, one of the biggest independent electronic music labels in the world. 

    Headlining the event is award-winning British artist Jonas Blue who is known for songs such as ‘Perfect Strangers’ and ‘Mama’. Also flying to the Philippines are Ookay from the US (best known for ‘Thief’), Canada’s Fairlane, and Indonesia’s Weird Genius. The best local DJs will also be featured, including Bandit, Siangyoo, Carla Cray and Funk Avy! 

    “We grew up with EDM fests and saw a massive opportunity to bring them back to the Philippines with Horizon Halloween,” says Jigo Vilar, head of marketing for Project Horizon. “We see this as a new beginning for the scene, especially because the last big one was almost 4 years ago.”

    Albay goes Full Steam ahead with First-Ever Bicol Loco Hot Air Balloon Fest

    Get ready for an exhilarating blend of adventure and music at THE BICOL LOCO FESTIVAL, taking place in Albay from May 3 to 5. Each day begins with the inaugural Bicol Hot Air Balloon event, offering breathtaking morning flights against the stunning backdrop of the iconic Mayon Volcano. This thrilling experience promises to captivate visitors with unparalleled views and a sense of adventure.

    As evening approaches, the excitement shifts to the Old Legazpi Airport, with a stellar lineup of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) performances. Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo will light up the stage on May 3, followed by Ely Buendia and Jericho Rosales on May 4. Each evening promises an unforgettable showcase of some of the most respected talents in the local music scene.

    Envisioned by Ako Bicol Party-List Rep. Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co, THE BICOL LOCO FESTIVAL aims to highlight the majestic beauty of Mayon Volcano and the vibrant culture of the Bicol region.

    “This grand festival is more than just an event, it’s a platform for cultural exchange, a catalyst for economic development, and a grandiose expression of pride for the Mayon Volcano and the Bicol region’s vibrant heritage,” he said.

    The festival’s rich program, featuring both hot air ballooning by day and musical performances by night, positions it as a landmark event that celebrates the adventurous spirit and musical heritage of Bicol.

    “Through this grand festival, I envision a transformed Bicol, recognized globally, where the economy is as rich and lively as the experiences it offers,” Co added.

    About the Bicol Region

    As one of the most vibrant regions in the Philippines, Bicol is known for its distinctive culture, natural beauty, and culinary delights. Located in the southeastern part of Luzon, it consists of six provinces: Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Sorsogon.

    The region has a rich cultural heritage, with festivities such as the Magayon Festival in Albay, celebrating the legend of Mayon Volcano, and the Peñafrancia Fiesta in Naga City, one of the largest Marian festivals in Asia that draws pilgrims and tourists alike.

    Bicol is also known for its Bicolano cuisine distinguished by its generous use of chilli and coconut milk, making dishes distinctively spicy and creamy particularly in popular dishes like “Bicol Express,” a spicy pork stew, and “laing,” a dish made from taro leaves cooked in coconut milk.

    The region’s varied terrain and rich marine biodiversity also make it a perfect destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

    Continuing its annual tradition of celebrating good music and good people, Wanderland Music &
    Arts Festival has just announced their first roster of artists for 2024 all packed inside its new and
    homey theme: Wanderland Neighborhood.

    The ninth edition of the country’s premier music and arts festival is set to happen on March 9 &
    10, 2024 at the Filinvest City Events Grounds, Alabang, Muntinlupa, Philippines.

    It’s time to meet your neighbors.

    Jack Johnson is the first headliner of Wanderland 2024

    Wave 1 is starting off with a banger as American singer-songwriter Jack Johnson makes his
    Philippine debut at Wanderland Music & Arts Festival. Aside from creating poetic music and folk
    pop anthems, Jack is also an environmental rights activist who spearheads sustainability
    campaigns on ocean health–a true inspiration for the festival’s journey towards sustainability.

    With his classic songs Better Together, Banana Pancakes, and Sunsets For Somebody Else, it
    is a must to experience live the warmth and heartfelt tunes of Jack Johnson.

    Bringing home to the Wanderland stage

    If music can feel like home, these artists are up on the list.

    Aussie-born, Berlin-based band Parcels will be bringing your living room party and patio dinner
    playlists to life with their signature live dance music experience. Novo Amor (Ali
    Meredith-Lacey), a Welsh multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, will make his
    much-awaited visit to perform music reminiscent of our safe space at home. Meanwhile,
    US-based RnB singer-songwriter, Jeff Bernat, armed with elements of soul and pop is bound to
    set the mood high for his Filipino homies.

    Next-door wonders

    When it comes to quality sound and a good time, we cannot leave out what our next-door
    friends have to offer. We have Beenzino, a K-Hiphop and rap artist, 雲端司機 (CLOUDRIVER),
    a lauded guitarist and singer from Taiwan, and Filipino-Aussie sensation grentperez.

    Homegrown talents

    One thing about Wanderland is that it will never be short of homegrown acts. Showcasing the
    best of the country’s indie music scene is just the festival’s thing.

    Starting off with Paolo Sandejas, the country’s freshest neo-soul act with addictive melodies
    laced with indie-pop and alt-rock vibes. Eccentric to the eyes and good on the ears is Ena Mori,
    who artistically bridges Filipino and Japanese genres in her music. Bicol’s best kept secret,
    dwta, will be enchanting the crowd with songs purely and beautifully sung in Bicolano. Along
    with them is the band bird., who explores songs that narrate the melancholic life of a typical
    Filipino teenager, almost akin to US midwestern emo. And finally, accidental supergroup Party
    Pace, with a hodge-podge of members from various household names in the local scene (IVOS,
    Sandwich, Chicosci), completes the Wave 1 lineup.
