Playboy Rock the Rabbit 2012
Manila Jockey Club, in partnership with Playboy Philippines, presents “Rock the Rabbit IV” at the San Lazaro Leisure Park (SLLP) in Carmona, Cavite on Friday, October 12, 2012, 7:00 PM.
Taking the stage is the “King of Pinoy Rock” Pepe Smith, Maria Cafra, and Hilera, along with a host of other local performers. VIP ticket holders will be treated to unlimited food & drinks, and some surprises.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Givesback Foundation, a fund raising project for the benefit of kidney procedure patients of the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC), and the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

Surf & Music Festival on October 31 to November 3, 2012 at San Juan, La Union.Change in Venue:
This statement is regarding the announced change of venue for the Aloha Boardsports Surf & Music Festival 2012.Due to unavoidable challenges that would compromise the Surf & Music Festival experience for surf lovers and music fans, organizers for the event have decided to move the festival from Bgy. Balaoi, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte to a more accessible venue — Bgy. Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union.
“We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused our loyal festival-goers. Despite all efforts to ensure that we are able to push through with the original plans, we really did not want to diminish the experience that our participants seek for an event as anticipated as the Aloha Boardsports Surf & Music Festival,” shares Mooney Castillo, Vice President of Aloha Boardsports. “Regardless of these challenges, we look forward to giving participants the same awesome surf and music experience everyone is looking forward to.”
The festival date remains unchanged and is still slated for October 31 to November 3, 2012 with featured beginner and pro surf competitions, and a 3-night concert headlined by Wolfgang, Tropical Depression, Sandwich, Pedicab, Razorback, and Taken by Cars.

You might remember hearing about Keane for the first time ever when MTV Asia (at the time it was screened in Philippine television) hailed the band as the month’s Buzzworthy (which can be roughly translated to ‘Artist of the Month’ for the 90s MTV tuners). Even then, Keane had been a band that went beyond expectations. When the music videos of “Somewhere Only We Know” and “Everybody’s Changing” premiered in 2004, they were rather bare. They featured three British lads – one in vocals, one in piano and one in drums. That’s right. No guitars. Not even bass. The surprise doesn’t end there, though. With such a minimalistic approach, astoundingly, their music never lacked for anything. As it goes, Keane is characterized by the piano-driven melodies complemented with the vivacious drumbeats and wrapped in the glasslike vocals that sung with such sophistication and refinement.
