Japan’s music sensation Number_i releases their new EP, GOD_i on May 19. The new collection of infectious tracks features the focus single “Frisco” alongside previous releases, Billboard Japan #1 “GOD_i” and “HIRAKEGOMA”.
In support of the new music, Number_i – who is Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji and Yuta Kishi – will make their North American festival debut as a featured act at Head In The Clouds on June 1, at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. (They previously appeared in the 88rising Futures showcase at Coachella 2024.) Known for their genre-blending sound and high-energy performances, Number_i is set to bring their signature style to the festival’s stacked lineup. “GOD_i”, the EP’s title track, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart earlier this year, further solidifying the group’s rapid rise in the global music scene. It was produced by group member Yuta Kishi, conveys a fierce message of “wishing to give the courage to take a step forward,” and features a compelling new sound for Number_i, with a melancholic top line and an addictive beat in the chorus.
“HIRAKEGOMA”, a new-style pop tune that combines catchy phrases with heavy, powerful beats also appeared on the powerhouse trio’s 2024 debut album No.I – translates to “open the door” in Japanese. Other tracks highlight each artist’s versatility. “ロミジュリ” is a bass-filled classic funk jam while tracks ”i_Dog” and “Psycho” has Number_i coming back with a harder edge.

Esnyr, on the other hand, led Team Kapamilya; he recognized that their group didn’t have high-level dancers, so they focused on delivering a fun and creative number inspired by high school performances and Christmas party presentations.
In the end, David chose Team Kapamilya as the winner, praising their synchronized and well-thought-out routine. David rewarded them with lollipops, something that the Housemates appreciated and enjoyed. “I Think I Love You” is currently getting a lot of love online. On the day of its release, it was number five on the Top Songs list of iTunes Philippines, making it the only OPM song to make it to the top 5.
On TikTok, several supporters are using the audio for fan-made edits of David and his onscreen partner Barbie Forteza. A lot of people have also been dancing to it and making their own choreography for it, including TikToker Miko Yanson, who is famous for coming up with dance choreos for a lot of trending songs online.

During his PBB guesting, David shared: “I really just wanted to try everything — sa showbiz, sa buhay. One of those is releasing a song; yun na nga po yung ‘I Think I Love You’ — para po sa mga taong may gusto pero di pa niya masabi.” With the good reception to “I Think I Love You,” we won’t be surprised if and when David releases another song.

The Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla marks her 42nd anniversary in the music industry with a new album called “‘Pag Tinadhana,” which will be out on Friday (May 16), and her “Through The Years” concert happening on Saturday (May 17) at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater.
“You will hear a lot of my hit songs. Para maging kakaiba siya, may mga rearrangements na mangyayari. I’m also introducing to my audience the new sound,” the Kapamilya singer teased, excited to perform tracks from her latest album in her concert.
Her new album has eight tracks, including her previously released songs “’Pag Tinadhana,” “Kabiyak,” and “Never Be Alone.”
A Mother’s Day offering, “Never Be Alone” is her collaboration with one of her daughters, Zia Quizon, about a mom who misses her bond with her children when they were younger yet appreciates the strong connection they have now that they are grown.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Philippines’ biggest folk-pop band Ben&Ben will be bringing their music to Cebu, Bacolod, and Davao for the Philippine leg of their The Traveller Across Dimensions World Tour. Overseas performances will also take place in Singapore and different parts of the United States later in the year.
Tickets are already available for the May 24 show at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, with announcements for the June 8 show at the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod and the June 22 performance at the SMX Convention Center in Davao to come in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, tickets for the Singapore show at the Arena@Expo on December 14, as well as those for the performance at the Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln, California on July 12 are also available for purchase. Additional show dates and venues will be announced as they become final.
For the tour, the nine-piece band will perform tracks from their third studio album, mixed with some of their past hits. The Traveller Across Dimensions album was released on November 29, 2024, and has produced hits like Could Be Something and Tomorrow with You.
The concept album follows the story of Liwanag, the Traveller, as she journeys through three Dimensions: Light, depicting innocence; Energy, depicting struggle; and Feel, depicting maturity. She writes 12 songs along the way, which relate her experiences in each of the Dimensions.
The songs reflect the various experiences of the band members over the past several years and showcase their growth as people, as songwriters, and as musicians. While their signature indie folk sound remains, the group dishes out city pop and electric beats not present in their previous songs. As the group evolves, so do their stories and their music.
