    Byeon Woo Seok pens the loveliest and most heartwarming summer letter, filled with appreciation and love to his fans.

    The ascent to fame of Byeon Woo Seok did not happen quickly. It took eight years for the actor to reach his current position. With a brief appearance in tvN’s Dear My Friends, he made his acting debut in 2016. Later, he played supporting roles and made brief cameos in films and television shows before emerging into leading man roles in the films 20th Century Girl and Soulmate, and the drama Lovely Runner.

    Every day brings Byeon Woo Seok more wonder because his newfound fame still seems unbelievable to him. He began Lovely Runner with the hope that people would appreciate itโ€”never expecting it to soar to such heights of popularity. He acknowledged that he is still getting used to the spotlight. Nevertheless, he said that all was a dream realized.

    Fans showered the actor with love and appreciation during the 2024 BYEON WOO SEOK ASIA FAN MEETING TOUR: SUMMER LETTER IN MANILA, from his arrival at the airport to his sold-out show at the New Frontier Theater.ย His first-ever visit to the Philippines was met with enthusiastic cheers and support from Filipino fans. “I hope that everyone who comes to the fan meeting will go home with good memories,” he shared during the press conference held at the Shangri-La The Fort on June 21 ahead of his fan meeting on June 22.

    Prior to the fan meeting, Byeon Woo Seok charmed the Philippine media at Shangri-La The Fort, where he made a lasting impression by gifting each reporter a flower. Whatโ€™s more, he personally handed them out. During the media conference, Byeon Woo Seok expressed his excitement for the fan meeting, his love for the Philippines, and his Filipino TongTongsโ€“the name of his fandom.

    Best known for his role in Lovely Runner, he delighted fans during his first Asia tour, 2024 Byeon Woo Seok Asia Fan Meeting Tour: Summer Letter in Manila. The event, presented by PULP Live World, took place at the New Frontier Theater on June 22. It was a dream come true for fans eager to see the actor in person.

    The fan meeting itself was filled with much joy and excitement. Byeon Woo Seok delighted fans by strutting onstage like a fashion model he is then segued into recreating iconic scenes from Lovely Runner, namely the photo booth and cherry blossom scenes. When he and a lucky fan did the former, the theater erupted in cheers. The recreation of the cherry blossom scene elicited gasps and thunderous applause from the audience.

    A fun Bingo game followed, where the actor humorously struggled with a mini bike challenge due to his towering height. He ultimately succeeded by pushing the bike with his feet. During a “This or That” segment, he entertained fans with his reaction when asked to choose between a haunted room or a room with a cockroach. But the fan meeting wasnโ€™t all fun and games. It was also filled with heartfelt moments. During the Q&A, one Filipino TongTongโ€™s question about how Byeon Woo Seok copes with stress led to a sincere response.

    He truly made last Saturday night a lifetime memory for everyone. Even though he wasn’t feeling well, the actor gave it his all to give his Filipino fans treasured experiences to bring back home. These included charming exchanges, reliving Lovely Runner with fans, sharing personal anecdotes, and serenading them. Fans have put together a heartfelt fan project for the actor who was overtaken with emotion.

    When the VCR finished playing, he confided to his fans that he felt unwell and was worried about not being able to give his best during the event. Despite this, the energy and enthusiasm of the Filipino TongTongs uplifted him and brought him immense joy. He shared his concerns, saying, โ€œI was worried I wouldnโ€™t be able to fully enjoy this moment with you because of my health.โ€ Byeon Woo Seokโ€™s vulnerability touched the fansโ€™ hearts, especially when he credited them for enabling him to have fun despite his condition. โ€œYour energy helped me enjoy the fan meeting, even though I felt emotional and overwhelmed,โ€ he added.

    Towards the end of the fan meeting, Byeon Woo Seok sang “I Think I Did” from the soundtrack of Lovely Runner. The evening concluded with his touching rendition of the song “Sonaki” (“Sudden Shower”), as confetti rained down inside the theater, creating a magical atmosphere.

    As he left the venue, Byeon Woo Seok even rolled down the window of his car to wave goodbye to the fans who gathered outside to wait for him. They sent him off with an explosion of cheers.

    A little more than three months after their hugely successful Fate performance in February, ENHYPEN, composed of Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki, reunited with their Filipino fans through the fan meeting organized by local fashion giant BENCH. The Philippines greeted the lads with passionate applause, as usual, engulfing the arena in their love and support for their favorite boys. The closer the clock got to showtime, the louder the cheers became. And as the lights went down, the Philippine concert scene was once more struck with the harmonious blend of ENGENEs’ enthusiasm and ENHYPEN’s power.

    Call them P-R-D-X invader, the boy group said hello to the Philippine concert stage with “ParadoXXX Invasion”. “ParadoXXX Invasion” is still a fan favorite two years after its release, and the fan meetup was proof of this as fans sang along to the song, seemingly with every word ringing in everyone’s lips and booming loudly around the arena. It should come as no surprise that Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki will never forget the Philippine ENGENEs for their unwavering devotion and theย warm reception they showed the guys on each visit.

    At the press conference that preceded the fan meeting, the boys gave their fans credit for all of their accomplishments, which have enabled them to stand tall as the K-Pop powerhouse of their generation. Additionally, Jungwon cited ENGENEs as their musical inspiration. With the support of ENGENEs, the boy band fulfilled the great expectations surrounding their debut in the music industry. Among K-Pop groups making their debut in the same year, their debut mini-album, BORDER: DAY ONE, had the highest first-week sales for a single album. They also made history by being the youngest and fastest K-Pop group to reach the Billboard 200 Top 10 and the fastest K-Pop group to reach one billion Spotify plays.

    Each trip to the Philippines served as indicative of their increasing impact on the K-Pop industry. 2023 saw a new chapter in history being written at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. With the ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR “MANIFESTO,” ENHYPEN became the first K-Pop act to host three straight sold-out performances at the arena. A year later, the boys returned with the ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR “FATE“ to write more history for the Philippine music scene. At the New Clark City Stadium in the Philippines, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki successfully concluded their second world tour. This marked the culmination of their much-anticipated six-month global tour and made performance history in the Philippines as the first K-Pop artist to perform at the stadium.

    The Global BENCHsetters returned to a more relaxed and participatory fan meeting, departing from their usual performance-focused events and bringing a different feel. The event was separated into three sections: classic ENHYPEN moments, guess that choreo, and twinning aegyo. As the members recounted their experiences from the movies that were screened, engaged in a game with the fans, and took beautiful pictures with them, each section gave the fans a chance to get to know the members a little better.

    In July 2023, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki became the newest Global BENCHsetters for BENCH with the release of the DENIM by BENCH collection. There was a lot of excitement and expectation for the collaboration between the K-Pop idol group and the local fashion titan when the news was announced. Since then, ENHYPEN has emerged as one of the brand’s most recognizable ambassadors. The members thanked BENCH for providing them with another opportunity to meet with their Filipino fans, who showed their appreciation for the boy group during the fan meeting with a banner project, a special video message, and a rendition of “Polaroid Love”.

    As one of Koreaโ€™s top actresses, she is known for her leading roles in the blockbuster dramas โ€œSungkyunkwan Scandalโ€, โ€œCity Hunterโ€, โ€œWhatโ€™s Wrong With Secretary Kim?โ€ and โ€œMarry My Husbandโ€. While her prolific acting career is known to everyone who watches Korean dramas, many are unaware that she is also good at singing and dancing.

    Park Minyoung made her entrance while singing โ€œBad Liarโ€, a soundtrack from her latest drama. Donning a chic sky-blue cocktail dress, she enchanted the audience with her undeniable beauty.

    Hosted by Sunny Kim and assisted by an English translator, the fan meeting provided a more introspective view of her acting career. As specific behind-the-scenes photos were shown on the screen, Minyoung told the story about them. For instance, she had to practice judo while shooting โ€œMarry My Husbandโ€ which was challenging but it was made easier by her previous experience during โ€œCity Hunterโ€. She also had to lose weight for the role.

    Minyoung also showed the audience a vlog of her recent vacation with the cast and staff of โ€œMarry My Husbandโ€ in Vietnam. She shared that she slept for 14 hours straight on the first day because the ambiance was so relaxing. For the succeeding days, she gave a quick tour of the area and talked about how grateful she was for their support which made the drama successful. A few members of the cast, including Na Inwoo and Choi Gyuri, also appeared briefly in it.

    The fan meeting featured a lot of fan interaction. Some lucky Beans got to take Polaroid selfies with the star while some even got a hug. Minyoung was so eager to talk to her fans, that she often initiated conversations when they were on stage. One male fan shared that Minyoung became his light during the dark times of the pandemic. He told her he was the happiest whenever he watched her dramas and variety show guestings. Minyoung thanked him, saying that having fans like him is the best.

    While Park Minyoung might appear demure, she was very earnest in communicating with MY Beans. Everyone who attended the fan meeting received an envelope containing a notebook, photocards, a bookmark, and a personalized note that Minyoung prepared. Whenever she talked, she would look fans in the eyes and ask them for suggestions. She even did a special performance of Jennieโ€™s โ€œYou and Meโ€, complete with beautifully rendered choreography.

    FIlipino Beans also gave her a treat with a surprise VCR featuring messages from fans. Touched by the gesture, she told the crowd, โ€œIโ€™m very thankful for the love and support youโ€™ve given me. The only way I can repay you is to work even harder to become the best actress. I feel blessed. Thank you and I love you all.โ€

    Adding to this, she read a letter she wrote for her Filipino Beans. โ€œWhen I feel dried by my emotions, you make me laugh. Itโ€™s always (the) fans who make me want to do my job better. So letโ€™s be happy for a long time. .. See you again. I love you.โ€ For the finale, she performed Miley Cyrusโ€™ โ€œFlowersโ€. As another bonus, everyone in the crowd got to see her up close during the hi-bye session.

    The “GMMTV Fan Day 13 in Manila” event is scheduled for July 6, 2024, at Skydome. The event includes back-to-back fan meetings and a fan sign activity between the two shows, just like it did the year before.

    OffGun will reunite with their Filipino fans through a fan meeting at 1:30PM, while PondPhuwin will meet their local fans in their first fan meeting event in the country at 7PM. The fan sign activity with the pairs is set at 5PM. Fans can look forward to a fun day with their favorite Thai stars as they have prepared various activities for them.

    FreenBecky Holds 5th Fan Meeting in the Philippines: 6 Highlights

    Popular Thai actresses Sarocha Chankimha (nickname: Freen), and Rebecca Patricia Armstrong (nickname: Becky) returned to Manila to meet their fans in the Philippines for the 5th time. Together, their ship name is known as โ€œFreenBeckyโ€.

    The New Frontier Theater was filled with people from a diverse demographic set โ€“ from students to working-class folks to members of the LGBTQIA+ society, as well as fans from foreign countries.

    The duo is the lead couple in the GL show โ€œGAP: The Seriesโ€ which has amassed around 600 million views on YouTube a year after it debuted. Since then, their ship has become a worldwide frenzy, with active fanbases in the US, Oceania, and Asia. They have also won many awards in Thailand including Couple of the Year, Rising Star Award as well as Best Series for their show.

    Filipino fans went all out to show their love for Freen and Becky. Around the venue, a truck running a video ad for Freen was seen, it read โ€œWelcome Back, Girlfreen!โ€. The NFT screen also showed a longer video sequence for the show with warm messages for the stars like โ€œWelcome Back Home, Bunso!โ€. Upon entering the venue, it was hard to miss the elaborate floral decoration in the photo wall backdrop. Fans took snaps with the life-sized cardboard cut-outs of FreenBecky. People were also wearing customized FreenBecky merchandise shirts, headbands, lightsticks, and banners โ€“ you name it, fans mostly prepared it.

    Here are 6 highlights of FreenBeckyโ€™s fan meeting.

    1. Freen and Becky delighted the crowd with their wonderful duet and solo songs.

    Making their grand entrance, they performed a duet of โ€œMarry Meโ€ and โ€œBecause of Youโ€ which are songs from โ€œGAP: The Seriesโ€ OST. For their solo songs, Freen did an adorable rendition of โ€œGirlfreenโ€ while Becky regaled the crowd with โ€œPantoneโ€. Fans also sang along to โ€œNo More Bluesโ€ and โ€œAt My Worstโ€ (Pink Sweat$ cover).

    2. Since this is their 5th show in the Philippines since 2023, they are very familiar with Filipino culture. The pair seemed to be fond of Filipino dishes. Freen asked for suggestions from the crowd, to which many answered balut, penoy, and halo-halo. Becky said she wanted to try adobo and halo-halo again.

    When asked what they missed most in our country, Freen immediately said she missed their fans. Becky agreed with her and added she wanted to try going to the beach and shark diving.

    Freen and Becky also took the time to thank the fans for the warm welcome, starting from their arrival at the airport up to the fan projects during the show.

    3. Favorite scene from GAP: The Series?

    Freen took a while to answer, seemingly thinking about the best answer. She finally decided to go with the beach proposal. Becky went with the wedding scene because according to her, she liked wearing the wedding dress.

    4. In one of the randomly picked fan questions, Freen and Becky were asked a lot about their friendship outside work.

    One of the questions was: what do they do during their free day? Becky, who is currently a university student, would catch up on school work or play her favorite sport, tennis. On the other hand, Freen told the crowd that she would just sleep, take walks with her dog Fluffy, and do pilates.

    Freen was also asked about her favorite memory of friendship with Becky. She recalled a moment when they were not working, they just sat on the bed together and talked about life. The host took this as a cue to tease them for acting very sweet together, a sentiment which was echoed by their fans.

    5. One of the most introspective questions during the fan meeting was: If given the chance to look to the past or the future, which would they choose?

    Freen replied she would not choose either. She would rather stay in the present.

    Meanwhile, Becky wants to go to the future to see what she will become โ€“ if she got to go shark diving, if she has graduated yet, if she got to act in an international blockbuster movie yet. She talked as if wondering about the many possibilities.

    6. Freen and Becky are supporters of the LGBTQIA+ community.

    Since a good number of their fanbase is part of this community, FreenBeckโ€™s vocal support for them was a good gesture. Assisted by a Thai translator, Freen spoke with conviction, โ€œYou only live once and you can be who you want to be.โ€ Becky seconded this, โ€œBe proud of who you are. You have the right to love anyone you want to love.โ€

    At the end of the show, Freen revealed that she wasnโ€™t feeling 100% but she tried her best for the fan meeting. She said she was very thankful for the fansโ€™ unwavering support. โ€œI know fans think of us like home. On a good or bad day, you can come back to us. Weโ€™ll keep going together as a family,โ€ Becky told the crowd.

    For the finale, it was the ultimate kilig moment for fans when the pair sang โ€œPink Theoryโ€ while holding hands. Colorful streaks of confetti floated around the theater as Freen and Becky smiled and waved to the fans.

    On March 16, 2024, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo returned to the Philippines to present the CHA EUN WOO 2024 JUST ONE 10 MINUTE [MYSTERY ELEVATOR] IN MANILA to his AROHAs in the nation at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, creating wonderful memories during this visit. The singer-actor was thrilled to be back with his fans and perform his fourth solo show in the local event scene, having not seen them in nearly a year.

    As always, he was greeted with the utmost affection and cheer in the Philippines, and he returned the favor by giving incredible performances, some of which were from his first mini album, ENTITY, which came out just a month ago. With his performance of Lee Hyori’s “10 Minutes” and his song “Fu*king Great Time,” the singer-actor, who is presently showcasing a different side of himself through his drama Wonderful World, immediately drew out performer Cha Eun Woo.

    He went on to welcome Philippine AROHA to his fan concert with โ€œKumusta po kayo. Ako si Cha Eun Woo.โ€ He stated that regardless of how frequently they encounter him, he hopes that everyone has a wonderful timeโ€”which he gave to every audience member as he offered his best performance and gamely participated in the segments that allowed fans to get to know him better.

    With his rendition of Backstreet Boys’ “As Long As You Love Me,” the Wonderful World actor, who gave careful thought to every element of his fan concert dedicated to his AROHA, brought back the vibes of a 90s boyband on the Philippine concert stage. Along with his OSTs, “Love Sailing” from Decibel, “Jealousy” from A Good Day to be a Dog, “Love So Fine” from True Beauty, and his solo song “First Love,” he also performed more songs from his first EP, including “U&I,” “You’re the best,” “Stay,” and “Memories,” and a medley of ASTRO’s “Crazy Sexy Cool,” “Knock,” and “Candy Sugar Pop.”

    Furthermore, Cha Eun Woo displayed his endearing side by enthusiastically engaging in each segment and fulfilling fans’ requests. He wore a cat headband and gloves, a crown, and a school blazer that resembled The Golden Bell Challenge uniform. Above all, though, his love for AROHAs, whom he showered with the most tender words, “AROHA, I LOVE U!,” shone through the fan concert.

    As he expressed his gratitude for their steadfast support throughout the years, he was equally astounded by the affection of his Filipino admirers. He remarked, “I felt the great energy of Filipino fans once again.” True enough, his admirers provided him cherished memories throughout the event, as they were the first to sing him a birthday song in honor of his forthcoming big day on March 30th.

    Along with fan banners, they also set up a VCR playing a special message that said, “We hope you are doing well, and know that we are doing well because of you. Thank you for your existence. Mahal ka namin, Cha Eun Woo.” With that statement, the ASTRO member delivered his own message to his fans, saying, “It made me realize that I really want to make more great memories with you,” and promising to return to the Philippines.

    In that wonderful world with Cha Eun Woo and AROHA, love and gratitude reigned supreme, and great memories were brought home to cherish till the next JUST ONE 10 MINUTE with the ever-wonderfulย Cha Eun Woo.
