The stars are aligning for a spectacular New Year’s Eve as Newport World Resorts invites everyone to dance their way into 2027. The integrated resort’s signature year-end celebration, The Grand Countdown to 2027, is bringing together some of the country’s biggest stars for a grand New Year’s Eve festivities.
Happening on December 31 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, this year’s celebration takes on the theme “Dance with the Stars,” featuring live performances from the country’s leading music artists, dance acts, and bands, that will keep the party going beyond midnight.
Headlining the celebration are Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan, and Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino. Joining them are Gab Valenciano and Kiana V, alongside AMP Big Band, JMRTN & The Retrospect Band, and The Manoeuvres. Singer and performer Nicole Laurel Asensio will host the festivities.
Gary Valenciano, whose signature dance moves, powerful vocals, and enduring hits have made him one of the country’s most celebrated live performers, will lead the countdown. With more than four decades in the entertainment industry, Mr. Pure Energy continues to get audiences on their feet with dance anthems such as “Hataw Na” and “Di Bale Na Lang,” making him a fitting headliner for this year’s dance-themed celebration.
Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan
Joining him is KZ Tandingan, whose genre-bending performances and distinctive vocal style have established her as one of OPM’s most versatile artists. Known for blending pop, R&B, and soul, the Soul Supreme brings her signature musicality to the Grand Countdown stage.
Also taking the spotlight is Yeng Constantino, whose pop-rock hits have become sing-along favorites for generations of Filipino music fans. From “Hawak Kamay” and “Salamat” to “Chinito,” the singer-songwriter brings a catalog of familiar anthems to the year-end celebration.
The lineup also features Gary Valenciano’s children, Gab Valenciano and Kiana V, bringing together three members of the musical family for the New Year’s Eve event. Gab, known for his high-energy choreography and dynamic dance performances, adds another dimension to the “Dance with the Stars” theme. Kiana V brings her contemporary R&B and pop sound, showcasing the next generation of the family’s musical talent.
Keeping the celebration moving are AMP Big Band and JMRTN & The Retrospect Band, delivering a mix of live music and retro-inspired favorites. The Manoeuvres will also take the stage with dance performances that complement the evening’s lineup of musical acts.
Beyond the entertainment, guests can enjoy a New Year’s Eve feast prepared by the award-winning culinary team of Manila Marriott Hotel as the celebration builds toward the midnight countdown. The annual event brings together live entertainment, dining, and festive experiences in one of the integrated resort’s signature year-end traditions.
This year also introduces a new chapter in the annual festivities as Newport World Resorts and the soon-to-open Westside Resort stage their first twinbill New Year’s Eve celebration. For the first time, two integrated resort destinations under Travellers Group will simultaneously welcome the new year with their own countdown events, bringing twice the entertainment to Entertainment City.
While Newport World Resorts brings back its established Grand Countdown tradition, Westside Resort will join the year-end festivities with an equally grand celebration following its anticipated opening. The twinbill marks a milestone for the group’s growing entertainment portfolio and offers a preview of the experiences that await guests across its two destinations.
