
Today, BTS released the official music video for their song “Merry Go Round” from their 2026 reunion album ARIRANG. The visually arresting MV is available only to Premium users on Spotify’s K-Pop ON! Hub.
The 3:49 ballad is serious, lamenting the cyclical nature of life with lines such as “I can’t get off this merry-go-round. It is about pain, resilience, burnout and brotherhood, mirroring BTS’s experience with fame and military service.

The MV is set in a dark, abandoned amusement park, and each member has their own powerful solo scenes (Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook), with swirling papers, shadows chasing after, carousel symbolism. It ends with a reunion that is emotional, about healing and unbreakable bonds. Fans have lauded the series’ cinematic and artistic depth and emotional resonance, comparing it to classics like “Spring Day.”
ARMY have taken to social media to share their love for the video’s horror-tinged but hopeful vibe, calling it one of the most introspective BTS releases to date.
