Halloween 2023 will be one for the books as emo superstars SILVERSTEIN will party and play in Manila!
As Filipino fans have proven time and again, watching a concert simply isnโt just about the music, but itโs an experience: joining friends and like-minded souls, jumping up and down in the pit, and singing loudly along to each and every live anthem โ itโs all of this and more that makes each show memorable and unique.
This is why fans of millennium post-hardcore will be thrilled and smiling in their sleep as they count the days, as PULP LIVE WORLD has just made the official announcement that acclaimed emo icons SILVERSTEIN will be making a long-awaited comeback to the country this fourth quarter of 2023.
Thatโs right โ vocalist Shane Told, guitarists Josh Bradford and Paul Marc Pousseau, bassist Billy Hamilton and drummer Paul Koehler โ are bringing their A-game as they always have and have their decade-spanning hits in tow for their loyal Filipino fanbase to go-crazy-to this October 31st, 2023 at the Skydome at SM North EDSA. The show promises to be the loudest and most happening event on Halloween and will once again prove that the country has earned the right to call itself the โemo capital of southeast Asia.โ
Formed in the year 2000 in Burlington, Ontario, Silverstein is arguably one of the most successful and both sonically and technically consistent bands to ever champion the genre, which is riddled with stadium-sized choruses, chugging riffs and trademark screamo dynamics that audiences just canโt get enough of. Having sold over a million albums, and has released a whopping 11 studio albums, their most notable singles include โSmashed Into Pieces,โ โHear Me Out,โ โDiscovering The Waterfront,โ โMy Heroineโ and the anthemic โSmile In Your Sleep.โ
The band has always had a deep connection with their Filipino fan base, and their performance this year in the country is a full-circle moment of sorts, as they had previously celebrated their 20th year anniversary back in January 2020 at the very same venue. Incidentally, the show was also produced by PULP Live World, so die-hards will definitely be eager to treat this as a special reunion of sorts. Needless to say, the singing will definitely be louder and the party even wilder!
Tickets to Silverstein Live in Manila will go on sale this May 28th, 2023 at noon, and will be made available via SM Tickets and smtickets.com.

A solid band, a solid setlist, and a solid crowd. The 1975 At Their Very Best in Manila was truly what its name was โ the very best.
The 1975 has made several appearances in the Philippine concert scene since they made their debut in a series of mall performances in 2014. The band, which consists of Matty Healy on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Adam Hann on lead guitar, Ross MacDonald on bass, and George Daniel on drums, will then return to the nation to perform their first arena show in 2015, headline an indoor music festival in 2016, and play a second arena show in 2019.
The band has developed a close bond with concertgoers in the Philippines for almost ten years, and each time, that bond has grown and deepened. Matty expressed his gratitude for Manila’s outstanding support over the years. The thing is with Manila, you guys kind of have dibs on The 1975 cause you were the first ones to like us. We were bigger in Manila before we were bigger in the UK,โ he said. And it was very clear during their recently ended back-to-back performances on May 3 and 4 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
A sold-out MOA Arena welcomed the band on May 3 as they kicked off the first of two nights of The 1975 At Their Very Best in Manila concerts. The band’s current tour, which began in North America in November 2022 and then traveled to Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Oceania, included a stop in the Philippines. Manila was the final stop on the fourth leg of the tour, which will take them back to Europe, Asia, and North America from June to September.

Wallice, an American singer-songwriter, opened for The 1975, delivering songs such as “90s American Superstar,” “Listen Here,” “Hey Michael,” “Punching Bag,” “John Wayne,” her most recent tune “Best Friend,” her personal favorite “Funeral,” and “23.” The musician thanked the group for letting her join them on tour in a heartfelt statement. “It’s been a dream come true,” she remarked, “Thank you, The 1975!”

Minutes later, A Theatrical Performance of an Intimate Moment commenced with Matty, Adam, Ross, and George, appearing on screen while riding animal toys โ the most unserious entrance we witnessed and an entrance we won’t have any other way.
The stage setup was straightforward. The camera work was stunning, dramatic, and entrancing. The setlist was a beautiful surprise.
The band opened the May 3 show with “Looking for Somebody (to Love)” and “Happiness” off their 2022 studio album Being Funny in a Foreign Language. Then they played “Ugh!” from 2015, which was followed by “Oh Caroline” from Being Funny in a Foreign Language. Moving forward, the band performed “Me & You Together Song” and “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” from the Notes on a Conditional Form album. And Manila was all for it, demonstrating once more the astounding enthusiasm of the Philippine concertgoers as they euphorically greet every beat and sing along to every word at the top of their lungs. The song “I’m In Love With You” from the album Being Funny in a Foreign Language was also performed live in Manila.
Matty paused to officially welcome the crowd to The 1975. “We are! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to The 1975! Thank you so much for coming. We are very happy to be here,” he said, pointing out that coming to Manila is always a great experience. “We are kinda ten times bigger than we should be.”
The 1975 performed “fallingforyou” from their 2013 extended play IV, paying tribute to the band’s almost decade-long relationship with the Philippines. And the bliss persisted with back-to-back “About You,” the synth-goodness of “An Encounter,” “Robbers,” and “Somebody Else.” They also played “Pressure” and “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You)”. Matty briefly sampled “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson before switching to “Paris,” “Me,” and “Love It If We Made It.”
The audience’s voices reverberated loudly and clearly as they sang along to The 1975’s “I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes)” in exquisite harmony. After an emotive performance of “I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes),” “The Sound,” “Sex,” and the evening’s closing song, “Give Yourself A Try,” brought back the party vibe. Everyone allowed themselves to become lost in the moment, be on their feet, and raise their voices to every word, causing the arena to shake with the intensity of the jumping and the echoing of everyone’s voices. These are the moments. This is the memoryโan encounter we will choose to have every time.
The 1975 At Their Very Best in Manila was everything its name suggests โ the very best. It was euphoric. It was Happiness.
THE 1975 AT THEIR VERY BEST IN MANILA was presented by PULP Live World. Special thanks to PULP Live World for the invitation.

The comeback of NCT DREAM created magnificent and lasting memories for the boy group and NCTzens who flooded the SM Mall of Asia Arena with an infectious love and passion that is comforting and beautiful.
Mark, Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno, Haechan, and Jisung took over the Philippine concert stage with their first concert tour since the pandemic, the NCT DREAM TOUR ‘THE DREAM SHOW2: IN A DREAM’, performing in over 20 cities around Asia, North America, and Europe. The sold-out Philippine stop at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 29 and 30 marked the start of leg four of the concert tour, which saw them return to Asia after a successful North American leg. Due to health issues, Chenle had to skip the stops in Manila and Singapore.
A passionate full audience saw THE DREAM SHOW2: IN A DREAM in Manila which crafted a concert of outstanding performances, astonishing stage design and production, and endearing fan interactions.

NCT DREAM kicked off the concert with a captivating opening in which the members surfaced sequentially on the main stage and in an aquarium-like enclosure on the extended stage. Over the course of the performances, the boy group made the most of the setting and the entire stage design. The lighting was another feat to behold, adding impacts to an already spectacular start. The excitement increased twofold when “Glitch Mode” played. The concert that has been dreamed of for so long has finally become a reality.
The Philippine concert scene was no stranger to NCT DREAM. Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno, Chenle, and Jisung made their first appearance in Manila in 2019 when they headlined the 2019 K-Pop Friendship Concert in Manila. Before borders closed and live performances and concerts came to a complete halt, the boy group, sans Mark, was the last K-Pop group to give a concert in the country in 2020. When the borders opened and concerts resumed in 2022, Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno, Chenle, and Jisung were among the first K-Pop acts to perform in the country, in a joint concert with Alice, WEi, and SHINee’s Key. In October of the same year, NCT DREAM, without Mark and Haechan, came back for another joint concert with Alice, Xdinary Heroes, Golden Child, and fellow NCT sub-unit, WayV.
Last year, Mark and Haechan performed on the Philippine concert stage with NCT 127. It marked NCT 127’s first solo performance in the nation and their second visit; they had previously visited the nation in 2018 for a collaborative concert.
THE DREAM SHOW2: IN A DREAM in Manila was even more memorable because it was their first concert with Mark in the Philippines. Although there is no denying NCT DREAM’s incredible growth over the past seven years, it is worth noting that the boy group’s first solo concert was held at the New Frontier Theater, which has a capacity of 2,385. Even then, it was a tremendous achievement because all tickets were sold.
NCT DREAM confirmed their standing as one of the leading boy groups of this generation again this year, when they returned with another solo concert. All tickets for the two-day concert were sold out on the first day of sales, and NCT DREAM was greeted by almost 30,000 NCTzens at the MOA Arena on April 29 and 30. Haechan stated at the press conference for THE DREAM SHOW2: IN A DREAM in Manila on April 30 that their return to the Philippine concert stage this time offered a bigger production and afforded them more space to explore and present their creative sides than their 2020 concert.
Every stage during the concert featured greater creativity and production values. After an elaborate and jaw-dropping start with “Glitch Mode,” the boys immediately followed it up with “Countdown (3, 2, 1)” and “Stronger.” Then, they officially welcomed NCTzens to THE DREAM SHOW2: IN A DREAM in Manila with their signature greeting and personalized messages that included the Filipino phrases “magandang gabi” and “mahal ko kayo“โwords they kindly relayed to their fans throughout the concert as they were continually showered with the loudest cheers. And the boy group truly appreciated the warm and enthusiastic welcome they received from the audience. The phrase “mahal ko kayo” stood out in Renjun’s memory among the Filipino terms because he adores his Filipino supporters, he said during the press conference.
Then they performed “Dreaming” and “Dรฉjร Vu” on the subsequent stage. NCT DREAM’s performance of “My First and Last” brought everyone back to The First. And with songs like “Bye My First,” “Love Again,” and “To My First, the romantic feelings still ruled the stage, reminding everyone of the sweetness and bitterness of first love. Mark, Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno, Haechan, and Jisung enlivened the stages with their endearing interactions, entertaining dances, and impromptu remarks, such as Mark and Renjun’s exchange of “Mark, tell me what is love” and “Love is Manila,” and Jisung’s “I love you.”
A heartfelt performance of “Sorry, Heart” by Haechan and Renjun once more brought warmth to the arena. But when Chenle appeared on the screens to sing his parts in the song and form a lovely harmony with Haechan and Renjun, emotions undoubtedly overcame everyone. Throughout the performance, the members gave Chenle heartfelt shoutouts and gave fans assurances that they would make sure to realize 7DREAM’s Manila dream in the future. During the press conference, the members reaffirmed this commitment. Jaemin expressed regret that they were once more lacking a member in their Manila performance, recalling how Mark was absent from their first solo concert and how Chenle was absent from this one. Nevertheless, Nana interpreted this as motivation for the entire groupโall sevenโto head back to the country.
NCT DREAM TOUR ‘THE DREAM SHOW2: IN A DREAM’ is the first concert tour of the NCT sub-unit to include all seven members. Jeno stated during the press conference that they were delighted to travel and tour together. Like Jaemin, he expressed a desire to go back to the country and have another performance in which they will all participate. “However, itโs a pity that for the Manila stop, Chenle is unable to join us. But that gives us another reason to come back to the Philippines with all seven members,” he said.
Mark, Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno, Haechan, and Jisung then returned on stage coming closer to fans through the extended stage in a medley of “Puzzle Piece”, “Chewing Gum”, “ANL”, “Dive Into You”, and “Irreplaceable”.

The hard-hitting “Saturday Drip” by Mark, Jeno, Jaemin, and Jisung pumped up the crowd next. Quietude was no longer an option when Renjun and Haechan entered the aquarium-like enclosures and joined Mark, Jeno, Jaemin, and Jisung on stage for “Quiet Down”. It became a party with “Better than Gold” which preceded the parade of performances of “Diggity,” “Ridin’,” and “BOOM”. “Trigger the Fever”, the song recorded by the boy group for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and later added as a bonus track in the We Young EP, got everyone on their feet to jump and dance along. During the press conference, Renjun also cited the song’s upbeat and uplifting energy as a reason to listen. The energy was amazing, constant, and still going strong as “Hot Sauce”.
Loud cheers for Chenle resounded across the arena as people seized the break as an opportunity to express their support for him. NCTzens also used the occasion to wish Jeno, who became one year older on April 23, a happy birthday in the form of the phrases “Birthday na ni Jeno” and “Happy birthday, Jeno.” The crowd agreed to take on the task of building a stunning wave for NCT DREAM, practicing it with eagerness before the boys’ return.
Mark then appeared on stage while beatboxing, readying the audience for the commencement of the encore. The boys had wide grins on their faces while NCTzens enthusiastically sang along to “Beatbox.” And when Renjun’s “์ง๊ธ์ฒ๋ผ ์๋ก์ ์์ ๋ง์ถฐ/ ์ฐ๋ฆฌ๊ฐ ํจ๊ป ๋ง๋ค ์์ / Everywhere I go, bring the beatbox” and Haechan’s “๊ฟ๊ฟ์๋ ์๊ฐ์ด ์ฌ๊ธฐ ์์ด/ We won’t stop for a moment, oh/ Everywhere I go, bring the beatbox” came on, the boys grinned proudly and with approval as the crowd sang along at the top of their voices.
The overwhelming love and support they received from the audience, along with how much fun the concert was, left Mark, Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno, Haechan, and Jisung feeling extremely grateful. “Salamat po,” remarked Renjun. “Sobrang saya namin ngayong gabi.”
They also took notice of the large banner project that read, “7DREAM FOREVER”. (The second day of the concert featured another banner that read “CZENNIES + 7DREAM = BEST FRIEND EVER”). On the first day of the concert, individual banners with the inscriptions “7DREAM is placed in my heart like a bookmark” and “Let’s meet again in the next dream, just like when it was 8:25” were also hoisted by the fans.
The members pledged to go back to Manila and fulfill the dream of 7DREAM. “It’s a shame Chenle wasn’t with us. But I promise you, Chenle will be with us the next time. We will be complete. Stay healthy till the next time we meet. Get home safely. Take some good rest. And this is the most important, don’t skip a meal. Manila, I love you so much,” Jaemin said.
Mark echoed the promises of his members, “Just like what all the other guys said, the next time we come here we will be with Chenle. We will complete the 7DREAM here. The next time we meet maybe we can stay even for a longer time. Thank you so much for today.”
NCTzens sent Jeno yet another song for his birthday. He thanked everyone for remembering his special day with a wide smile. The crowd then demonstrated the wave they had been practicing, getting admiring nods and applause from the boys for being unique in form. Mark thought of the wave as a remarkable concert memory during the press conference. “The wave from the first day left quite an impression. It kinda stayed on my mind for some reason,” he shared.
“Manila, I love you. We had great fun tonight. Did you guys enjoy it? We will come back too, so let us all stay healthy and well.” – Haechan “First of all, I want to say thank you because you did so well until the end. It’s been a while since I was in the Philippines. I am so happy. Kita tayo muli bukas? Thank you, everyone. See you tomorrow!” – Jisung “Manila, did you guys have fun today? First of all, thank you for coming, and thank you for enjoying the show tonight. I got a lot of energy from you guys tonight. Actually, we really want to come back to Manila. It’s a shame Chenle wasn’t with us. But I promise you, Chenle will be with us the next time. We will be complete. Stay healthy till the next time we meet. Get home safely. Take some good rest. And this is the most important, don’t skip a meal. Manila, I love you so much.” – Jaemin “Manila, did you have fun tonight? Thank you so much, Manila. Even if my birthday has passed, thank you for remembering it. When we had a rehearsal, I thought it was cold here. But because of your energy, it became hot! Thank you for enjoying with us and giving us your energy. Like what is written in front, 7DREAM forever. We promise Chenle will be with us next time. Manila, I love you!” – Jeno “Sobrang saya namin ngayong gabi. Salamat po. I am happy to come back to Manila. I really missed you. Thank you for creating beautiful memories with me tonight. I hope that we will always be together. Thank you very much. Let’s be together forever.” – Renjun “What I really like about Manila is that whenever we get to perform here, we get to see you guys very very closely. You guys were enjoying us being here so much. We connect a lot. Did you feel our connection today, Manila? Thank you so much to each and everyone who came tonight. Just like what all the other guys said, the next time we come here we will be with Chenle. We will complete the 7DREAM here. The next time we meet maybe we can stay even for a longer time. Thank you so much for today.” – Mark
NCT DREAM during the first day of THE DREAM SHOW2: In A Dream in Manila
The encore performances concluded with NCT DREAM’s “My Youth” and “Walk You Home.” But the show wasn’t over yet; they later returned for the lively, energizing “Candy” stage. NCT DREAM and NCTzens gave it their all to create a memorable final act that served as a fitting end to a beautiful memory. With a final bow and individual sentiments of thank you, I love you, a cartwheel from Renjun, a reminder from Jaemin not to skip meals, and promises to see each other again as 7DREAM, the members exited the stage one by one.

The NCT DREAM TOUR ‘THE DREAM SHOW2: IN A DREAM’ showcased the group’s unrelenting growth, driving them to greater heights and the fulfillment of greater aspirations. Seeing Mark, Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, and Jisung conquer bigger stages, win deserving accolades, and break record after record gave rise to strong feelings of joy and pride. In seven years, the sub-unit demonstrated an amazing and successful career.
The boy group has received countless accolades, and they have developed a loyal fan base over the years, yet they still maintain their humility. Mark thought the term “success” was quite ambiguous and subject to many different interpretations. He remarked, “I think we can all be successful if we just put our minds to it. We can all be currently successful in a way.” And for NCT DREAM, Mark characterized their achievement in terms of the joy they bring to their supporters. “For NCT DREAM, from the beginning of our debut, we always want to spread happiness to people who listen to our music and see our stages. In that sense, I feel like, in a way, we did succeed and are succeeding. It is our job to continue on that and to spread happiness as much as we can in the future.”
NCT DREAM TOUR ‘THE DREAM SHOW2: IN A DREAM’ also reflected the fervor and affection of NCTzens by flaring up with incredible energy. Mark said, “I know you will be amazing!” and the audience did not disappoint. Thanks to the unwavering passion and energy of the fans, who were always prepared to give it their all, the concert was even more breathtaking and beautiful.
Even though 7DREAM’s dream did not come true that weekend, NCT DREAM and NCTzens both share the desire to fulfill the shared dream. Considering the promises made by Mark, Renjun, Jaemin, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle (who greeted the fans alongside the other members through Instagram Live), and Jisung, it is clear that the dream will become a reality because 7DREAM is forever, and as Mark promised, “We will complete the 7DREAM here.” Let’s meet again in the next dream, just like when it was on April 29 and 30.

Less than a year after their debut, the boy group embarked on their first tour, The Expedition Tour, where they performed sold-out shows in the United States and Europe and later extended to Australia.
ATEEZ has received recognition for putting forth excellent performances and musical productions, which they showed through their releases and live stages. The same year saw them bag the Worldwide Fans’ Choice and Discovery of the Year awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and be the fifth most tweeted-about musician in the United States in 2020, and the 10th most tweeted-about K-Pop group in the world.
In 2021, they continued to dazzle and garner accolades, winning Artist of the Year at The Fact Music Awards and their first Bonsang at the 30th Seoul Music Awards. The boy band competed in Kingdom: Legendary War as well, where they placed third overall. They also participated in the Immortal Songs once again, winning with their rendition of Psy’s “Right Now” and tying Mamamoo for the most victories by an idol group.
Last year, ATEEZ embarked on another concert tour, The Fellowship: Beginning of the End, gathering 180,000 fans across South Korea, Japan, United States, and Europe. Continuing the momentum, they then followed up Beginning of the End with The Fellowship: Break The Wall. The boy group opened the concert tour with two sold-out shows in Seoul. They then perform in North America, Japan, and Europe, bringing together 250,000 fans.
In April 2023, Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho returned to South Korea for the encore concerts which will also see them take the concert stages in Tokyo and Kobe, Japan.
The Fellowship: Break The Wall will also see ATEEZ perform solo concerts for the first time in Taipei, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, and Manila.

Boss, Noeul, Peat, and Fort who played Payu, Rain, Prapai, and Sky, respectively made a stop in SM North EDSA SkyDome last April 22, 2023, for a night of games, fun, and memories + kilig to the Filipino fans for their Asian tour, presented by Wish Us Luck Entertainment.
The ensemble did not fall short with fan service as the two couples, BossNoeul and FortPeat adoration for each other transcended from the screens and to real life throughout the night, even the in-between moments of song performances and fan interactive games.
With four big personalities on stage, there are also four big things that happened during and before the fan meet, and hereโs how it went down:
Meet With the Press
Ahead of their fan meet, they met with the members of the press to share their love for Filipino fans, excitement, and thoughts about their careers. We asked them four questions that revealed how they prepared for the tour, their thoughts about their fans, each other, and the Love in the Air Series.
Philippine Concerts: You are now embarking on a fan meeting with stops in different Asian cities. How did you prepare for this tour?
Noeul: First, I have to be physically fit and mentally fit to be ready to meet the love of the fans.
Boss: Other than the show itself, each country has a different culture, so I also recognize that I will tailor each show to each country.
Peat: Other than that, I also prepared for the tour by eating! I also want to try different cuisines in each country because this is something I can share with the local fans.
Fort: On top of what everyone said, I also prepared to learn a bit of the language in each country so I can communicate with the fans because it would be nice if we can all understand each other.
PC: What are you most excited about your fan meeting in Manila and what memories do you wish your fans to remember most in this fan meeting?
Fort: I really want the fans to be happy. We heard some fans fly all the way to Thailand to meet us, but now weโre finally here to be close to the fans and to share the joy of being together.
Peat: I want you all to know that this fan meeting is another way to get close together. I want us to enjoy and laugh together.
Noeul: On top of what they all said, I want to see all the laughter. I want to remember this for a long time.
PC: Take us back to the moment all of you first met. What was your initial impression of one another, and did it change as you got to know one another?
Peat: I think itโs like the first time you meet a stranger. There are a lot of things you donโt know about each other, but right now, itโs something Iโm actually happy about because all four of us are very open to each other now. We have removed the barrier we had as strangers from day 1 and we are very close. I am happy that we are all together for this project.
PC: Among the scenes in Love in the Air, which one was the most memorable and why?
Boss: It’s very hard to pick one! The reason for this is that this is the first time I (we) became a leader in a show. So every part of the series is a memorable moment for us. We try our best as well because the producers try their best to make the show possible so we really cannot pick. Itโs tough for the first time and every minute is a good experience for us.
A fun meet with the Love in the Air cast
A fan meeting is always full of interactive games and question-and-answer portions that will reveal more of the artistโs thoughts. The games the foursome prepared not only included these but also involved lucky fans from the crowd in some competitions! Here are the portions that ensued during the event that gave the fans extra zing that will be filed in their memories for a very long time:
Forecast the Weather with BossNoeul
In this segment, BossNoeul sat with the host and they have two slogans with them that represent the symbol of each, Rain symbol for Noeul and Storm symbol for Boss. The game is to put the pickets up when the answer to the questions that will follow corresponds to the person more. Among the questions that are memorable is โWho cries a lotโ, which both of them agree is Boss, Boss claims he cries a lot because heโs a sensitive person. Another is โWho gives the warmest hugsโ which also answers Boss.
And even before the host asks for a โsampleโ for the fans, Boss already extended his arms to welcome Noeul in his arms. The spiciest question is โWho is the better kisser,โ which caused a wave of frenzy among the crowd. The two boys freaked out a little with their fans before answering the question, even causing Noeul to stand from his seat. They teased the crowd by saying, โYou have to watch the show first to know who kisses better!โ but proceed to almost make everyone almost faint anyway when Boss held Noeulโs chin and laughs to tease the crowd. What. A. Tease!
Be a Cloud Expert with FortPeat
This game put FortPeatโs soulmate radar to the test when two boys were given identical boards, with cloud-shaped answers plastered on them. The game is the couple has to guess the answer to each question that talks about the likes, habits, aspirations, and ideas of each. Some memorable moments are when asked, โWhat is Peatโs most embarrassing moment?โ Fort could not answer because he couldnโt read the choices, which caused him to break down a little in Peatโs arms. Another is โWhat is Fortโs most memorable moment?โ in which they both got right with the answer: โBecoming a Love in the Air actor.โ A question about โWhat is Peatโs dream role?โ which the fans already know: Luffy from One Piece if will ever have a live actions series. And โWhat is Fortโs favorite subject in school?โ which the fans coached both of them into answering Science. Like idols, like fans!
Wind in my Eye with the Fans!
How often do you get eye contact with your idol? Chances are slim when fan meetings or concerts ensue, especially when youโre trying to get your idolโs attention with thousands of fans doing the same thing. So how lucky are these fans who got to go on stage and challenge the cast of Love in the Air with a game that tests how long you can look them in the eye? VERY. Fans of the charismatic boys went into full sugar high when four lucky fans came on stage and battled with our very handsome cast to win a prize in the end! The rule is to not blink, not look away and maintain eye contact with the actor the fans were assigned to. (Editorโs Note: I personally wouldnโt be able to handle that.)
Boss and Noeul competed first with two fans, but the gaze of the couple was so strong that the girls lost within 9 seconds! What charisma they hold! Naturally, the FortPeat couple is up to compete next, and noticeably, Peat and the girl he was competing with got closer and closer until Peat got defeated! One point for the fans! As a prize, the girls won exclusive Polaroid pictures with the boys they competed with taken on stage! Note that that picture is only one of a kind in the world! This is a fangirlโs/fanboyโs dream come true!
Guess Whatโs In the Box with the Fans
A popular game that produces funny reactions from celebrities is Guess the Item in the Box and this fan meeting borrowed the game for the night. The fans this time will compete if they can guess what items are inside the box and if they win, they get a Polaroid shot with one of the boys on stage!
Fans showed their skill in the game by winning and snagging the prize by guessing โsteel woolโ as the item and the boys cutely played with the item after, even putting them on their heads as a hat. This already shows that the Thai actors are comfortable with their crowd, by showing off their goofy side. Why wouldnโt they be comfortable when Filipinos are always dubbed as the best audience in the world, no matter how big or small the event is? This is proven right when the fourth big thing that happened during the fan meeting was orchestrated by the fans themselves.
Tune in the Air with Love in the Air cast
The third big thing of the night is the musical segments. Not only are the foursome good in acting but theyโre very accomplished in the musical aspect too! They opened the fan meet with a song called โLove in the Airโ, an OST for their Love in the Air series, a soft ballad that stressed each of the boysโ soft voices. You can tell that the fans really prepared for the fan meeting when the whole SkyDome started singing along with the boys.
Of course, the whole series wouldnโt be complete if each couple didnโt have a song. Boss and Noeul, who were first highlighted in the series as a couple, sang a more upbeat OST, โMy Strongest Love.โ This performance was before the question-and-answer game ensued, which gave us a taste of what the couple prepared for the Filipino fans as they teased the crowd with small interactions. Wearing matching oversized black get-ups, they got closer and closer, driving the fans a little crazier with the smaller distance from each other.
Of course, the adorable FortPeat have their own song, and they sang it together in matching jean fashion. They sang โNever Sayโ, another OST from the series, which is a sway-inducing song that fits the boysโ sweet voices. FortPeat had all the unsubtle looks at each other, the bumping of shoulders, and the putting-the-arm around moments were seen on stage and set a different frenzy to the crowd.
From here on, you can already see the distinction between BossNoeul and the FortPeat couples. While the first couple thrived with teasing the fans, the second couple wasnโt even hesitating with the skin ship, as they are the obvious playful painted couple, whereas BossNoeulโ is more serious, chill, and subtle. As different as the couples are from each other, all four of them know exactly which buttons to press to push the fans on the edge. That marks what a good entertainer is, and itโs clear that the four actors are great ones.
All four of them covered a song called โเนเธซเธกเนเธญเนเธกเนเนเธเนเธกเธญเธ (Your Sights)โ, a song that was originally a soundtrack from another BL Thai series called โ7 Years of Love” from the same entertainment that produced LITA. This portion highlighted BossNoeulโs love team and FortPeat was even the culprit of some moments that shook the event when they pushed Boss and Noeul closer to each other while the song ensued. (Editorโs note: Iโm convinced my jaw dropped when they got too close to each otherโs faces and smiled at each other. In front of my salad?! I canโt.)
The puppy-like and energetic couple FortPeat were also spotlighted with their own cover of a song, again from the โ7 Years of Loveโ, โเนเธเธญเธเธทเธญเนเธฅเธเธเธฑเนเธเนเธ (My world)โ. The couple was smiling cutely all the way, even holding hands on the stage as they performed the song, each moment being another cause of a screaming wave, which the fans seem to canโt get enough of.
And as true as Bossโ words during the press conference, they prepared a lot for the Filipino fans by bringing a little of our culture to their stage! Clad in Barong Tagalog, they sang a classic Filipino song, โCloser You and I,โ by our very own Gino Padilla while throwing out souvenirs to the fans! What a great way to end the evening! Iโm sure a lot of Filipino fans will appreciate the effort the boys have put through to be closer to their fans here!
Fans with a chance of love and affection
After taking a small break from all the musical performances and the games that happened throughout the night, the four boys returned to the stage and looked even more dashing when they wore Barong Tagalog in pure white. Donโt we love men in white? This portion was jam-packed with love fans are trying to give their idols with actions speaking louder than words.
First, they showed a surprise video of the journey of the four handsome men with LITA scenes after the boys took a crowd picture. There was also fan banner support that the lovely fans wholeheartedly raised while a fan project cake was served to the boys on stage. Fun fact, Fort shared these cakes in his Instagram stories!
There was also a big cloth banner with four chibi pictures of the boys in the middle, surrounded by handwritten messages from the fans, where you can see that the boys were previewing and reading the messages on stage. They also prepared a birthday cake for Noeul, and even though he will celebrate it on May 19, they still gave him a Filipino-styled birthday song greeting. There was even a food support present that was collaborated by multiple fan bases, food baskets and gift bags, and personalized light sticks. The dedication was evident, the passion overflowing and love is indeed in the air with all of this support obviously well-thought and executed perfectly. Congratulations to the fan bases who made it all possible! It was very clear that the boys were overwhelmed and thankful for all the effort you provided!
The night ended with perk ticket holders spending more time with the boys with a hi-bye session, a photo with the actors, from group to solo that corresponds according to the ticket holderโs tiers, and a special poster signing for the Rain ticket tier holders.
There is no truer phrase other than love is in the air when the four handsome Thai actors reciprocated the love to their fans with effort and ample studying to get to know the Filipino fans better with all the gimmicks they pulled to relate to them better. And as always, Filipino fans do not fall short in giving it all out to show that they are the best fans in the world, with enthusiastic cheers and fan projects that show that there is no greater force in the universe than love that breaks the language barriers. Nothing stopped the love of the Filipino BL Thai fans that night and we are sure that even though the boys gave their all to make the fans happy, the fans will always be hungry and enthusiastic for more.

ACT: SWEET MIRAGE is TXT’s second world tour which kicked off with a two-day concert in Seoul in March 2023. The concert tour will see Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HueningKai perform more than 20 concerts in Asia and the United States. With the forthcoming ACT: SWEET MIRAGE concert in the country, they will be the second K-Pop boy group after SEVENTEEN and the eighth music artist following Katy Perry, Guns N’ Roses, U2, SEVENTEEN, Harry Styles, BLACKPINK, and Bruno Mars to hold a solo concert at the Philippine Arena.
Last year, the boy group successfully concluded their highly-awaited first world tour, ACT: LOVESICK, with 19 shows in 13 cities with a final show in the Philippines in October last year.
Since their debut, TXT has been unstoppable in their ascension to the top, becoming one of the most successful K-Pop groups of their generation. Aside from embarking on a bigger tour this year, Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HueningKai made history as the first K-Pop group to headline Lollapalooza.
Earlier this year, the boy group came out with their fifth Korean-language extended play, The Name Chapter: Temptation. The five-track album, led by “Sugar Rush Ride”, debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart and took the number one spot on the Circle Album chart for January 2023.
TXT reached the two million album sales milestone with the EP in less than six days, making them the second-fastest artist in Hanteo history to accomplish so. Having made their debut in March 2019, they are also the first artist to achieve the feat after less than four years in the music industry. They are also the first group to simultaneously chart every song from a single mini album in the top 10 of Melon’s Top 100, where “Sugar Rush Ride” achieved an amazing peak position of number two.
