  • Paramore drops new single and video, new album out next year

Paramore drops new single and video, new album out next year

Paramore are back with their first new music since 2017. The beloved Nashville-based trio ofย Zac Farro,ย Hayley Williamsย &ย Taylor Yorkย have returned from their hiatus – and the global pandemic – with โ€œThis Is Whyโ€, one of the best songs of their already impressive repertoire. In whatโ€™s widely recognized as one of the most exciting musical returns of the year, the band have also announced the release of their long awaited sixth studio album,ย This is Why,forย February 10th 2023ย onย Atlantic Records.ย Recorded in Los Angeles, California with long-time collaboratorย Carlos de la Garza, the album features 10 new Paramore songs with cover art shot byย Zachary Gray.

Entering back into a world – and cultural landscape – very different from the one they last participated in, Paramore have returned with a song about exactly that. โ€œThis Is Whyโ€ is a deliciously infectious Paramore ear-worm for the post-truth world. Of the song, Williams says, โ€œThis Is Why was the very last song we wrote for the album. To be honest, I was so tired of writing lyrics but Taylor convinced Zac and I both that we should work on this last idea. What came out of it was the title track for the whole album. It summarizes the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the rollercoaster of being alive in 2022, having survived even just the last 3 or 4 years. Youโ€™d think after a global pandemic of fucking biblical proportions and the impending doom of a dying planet, that humans would have found it deep within themselves to be kinder or more empathetic or something.โ€

The video was directed by Turnstileโ€™s Brendan Yates and filmed in Malibu, California last month. Speaking on the video and collaboration, Williams says, โ€œIt was so rad working with Brendan. Iโ€™ve known the Turnstile guys for a little while and was so psyched to have our worlds collide in this way. Thereโ€™s a cool kinship between the way our bands do things… Hopefully we will get to play shows with them at some point,โ€

When Paramore revealed they were recording together in January 2022 the response from music fans around the world was immediate and celebratory. In the time since the Grammy-winning, RIAA-certified multi-Platinum band released their last album, After Laughter  – and Hayley Williams unveiled two lauded solo albums – Paramore have become more popular than ever.  Over the last few years Paramoreโ€™s influence and popularity has snowballed, as the age of streaming organically propelled them into a position as one of the worldโ€™s biggest, most culturally compelling rock bands. For the band, who formed as teenagers in Tennessee, their 20 year trajectory has seen them grow from youthful outsiders to bone-fide pop culture icons, permeating the musical landscape by inspiring a new generation of musical talent.

    PRE-ORDER THIS IS WHY HERE

Renowned for their arena-filling and festival-headlining performance prowess, the opportunity to see Paramore play their first theater shows in years created headline news. Their upcoming run of intimate live dates sold out in minutes. The band are donating a portion of their ticket sales to organizations working in areas of essential community support, including ARC Southeast, Kansas Abortion Funds, Shelter Safe Canada and Support & Feed.

Boys Like Girls finally returning to Manila in October 2022

Boys Like Girls will be performing in Manila for the first time in over a decade on October 10 and 11, 2022 at the New Frontier Theater.

At these one-of-a-kind concerts, Boys Like Girls will perform their ground-breaking first album, simply titled “Boys Like Girls,” in its entirety, alongside fan favorites from their wide discography.

Boys Like Girlsโ€”Martin Johnson on lead vocals, Paul DiGiovanni on lead guitar, Gregory James on bass, and John Keefe on drumsโ€”put out their self-titled debut album in 2006. It was certified gold in the US and sold over 700,000 copies and its songs “The Great Escape” and “Thunder” both reached the top 10 on the US Billboard singles charts.

Those who have witnessed this pop punk band in concert before will understand the significance of this tour. Here’s your chance to see Boys Like Girls live and discover out why their performances are so unforgettable if you haven’t before.

The band was supposed to tour Asia in April 2020, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour was moved to September 2020. The band had to put the tour off until September 2021 and then again until October 2022 because of ongoing concerns about global health.

    SUNSET WITH YOU

A perfect song for the rainy and gloomy weather, “Sunset with You” highlights Jay B’s distinctive voice and gives off calm and melancholy. The leader of GOT7 wrote the lyrics and co-composed it with Saimon, Mirror Boy, and Royal Dive. It is part of his extended play, Love., that came out this year and was released under his pseudonym Def..

    B.T.W

A track from his solo debut extended play, SOMO:FUME, “B.T.W.” presents a chill and groovy vibe — a perfect listen on a relaxed morning walk. The song saw Jay B collaborate with producer Cha Cha Malone for the song’s arrangement and team up with Jay Park and Cha Cha Malone for the music. He also worked with Jay Park, who served as a featuring artist in “B.T.W.”, for the lyrics.

    Rocking Chair

Globe has fully restored services in seven provinces stricken by Super Typhoon Karding less than 24 hours since the weather system left the Philippine area of responsibility, bringing back much needed connectivity in affected areas.

As of Tuesday, Globe has reached 100% restoration in Northern Luzon provinces Bulacan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Tarlac and Zambales, and in the Southern Luzon provinces of Rizal and Quezon, particularly the Polillo Group of Islands. This is on top of immediate restoration of service in Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, restoration efforts are nearly complete in Nueva Ecija, among the worst-hit provinces.

Globe initiated field operations in storm-hit areas even while the effects of Karding still lingered on Monday, sending out technical teams who were prepositioned in areas on the typhoonโ€™s path before it made landfall.

โ€œOur network personnel have been working round the clock to make sure outages due to Typhoon Karding will be minimal. Through their efforts, we quickly reached full restoration in most of the typhoon-hit provinces,โ€ said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer of the Globe Group.

On Monday, Globe restored service in the National Capital Region and four islands in the Polillo group, including Burdeos, Patnanungan, Polillo and Jomalig. Teams finished restoring service in Panukulan, also in Polillo, Tuesday.

Karding left the Philippine area of responsibility Monday night after bringing heavy rains and howling winds in parts of Luzon, leaving at least eight dead and causing an estimated P160 million in agricultural damage, particularly in severely hit Nueva Ecija.

To ensure fast and efficient service restoration in anticipation of the monster storm, Globe had preposition field personnel over the weekend in areas forecast to be affected by Karding.

  • Hwang In Youp Spends Delightful Time with HIYLIYs in His 1st Manila Fan Meeting

Hwang In Youp Spends Delightful Time with HIYLIYs in His 1st Manila Fan Meeting

Hwang In Youp comes home, gifting Filipino HIYLIYs with the sweetest memories.

South Korean model-actor Hwang In Youp made his way back to the Philippines and spent a delightful time with his Filipino fans last September 24 at the New Frontier Theater.

Welcomed by the loud cheers of HIYLIYs, the actor opened his first official fan meeting in the country, the 2022 HWANG IN YOUP 1ST FAN MEETING IN MANILA, with “Starlight”, an official soundtrack from the drama True Beauty. He then greeted the audience with his sweetest smile as he says, “Mabuhay, Philippines! Ako po si Hwang In Youp.”

After the sweet serenade and hello, he sat down to share his thoughts about coming back to the country and his undeniable love for halo-halo. According to him, he had halo-halo at a local fast food chain in the mall near his hotel. But still, he did not let the chance pass to eat the desert he obviously enjoyed on stage.

But the fun only started, because the next segment, Hwang Quiz, tested the actor’s (and everyone’s) knowledge of Philippine history. For his HIYLIYs to get a signed polaroid, he needed to answer the questions correctly — which he successfully did! Randomly chosen lucky fans took home a signed polaroid as a result of his effort.

Sharing more about himself in the IY Q&A segment, he revealed his plan to make a secret trip to Davao this year. He added that every time he comes to the Philippines, he feels like he is visiting his hometown. The actor also showed off his love and appreciation to his fans, saying that just being with them for a long time is already the greatest gift.

He also talked about modeling, sharing some of his know-how in posing such as focusing on the eyes and doing laid-back or cozy poses — even giving the crowd a live sample of his poses. The actor also shared his thoughts about his first variety show, Young Actors’ Retreat or Youth MT, which features cast members of director Kim Seong Yoon’s previous dramas including Sound of Magic which starred Hwang In Youp.

Hwang In Youp said that the Hwang in Youp they see on the show is his actual self. He admitted to being worried about fans’ reaction to witnessing his actual self. But fans at the fan meeting assured him that they love all his moments in Youth MT.

With Manila as the final stop of his first fan meeting tour, he said it will also be nice if the fans can come to Korea to spend time with him, have fun together, and eat good food. And he showed what it looks like to spend time with him in the special vlog he prepared for the fan meeting where he went on a drive and eat delicious Korean food.

Making sure everyone comes home with the best memories of the evening, Hwang In Youp surprised everyone when he went around the venue to come closer to his Filipino HIYLIYs. We definitely fell deeper in love with his conscious effort to gift fans with the best fan meeting experience.

From Park Dan Ho to Gong Chan: A Look Back on the Many Roles of HIY

Coming back on stage, he looked back at his filmography through the Inyoup_Filmogram segment, starting with Park Dan Ho, his character in the 2019 historical drama Tale of Nokdu. According to him, he has to wear three layers of clothing for the role, but he remembered most how tight the ponytail was that he was losing a lot of hair. The drama served as the actor’s first historical drama. Given the chance to star in another historical drama, he expressed interest in playing the role of a king or a royalty as he remembered the Korean drama Princess Hours was popular in the Philippines during his stay here.

He then talked about his 18 Again character Goo Ja Sung, Serim High School’s basketball team captain. Asked about playing basketball, the actor said his friends in Davao taught him to play. Aside from the basketball skills, Goo Ja Sung became the talk of the town with his proposal song. And the audience became Hong Shi Ah for a night as Hwang In Youp serenades fans with the song he sang to confess in the drama.

With excited squeals from fans, everyone’s favorite Han Seo Jun showed up on the screen. Hwang In Youp’s True Beauty character stole everyone’s hearts in the drama with his tsundere personality and his loyal love for Lim Ju Kyung, giving everyone a second-lead syndrome.

And of course, when talking about Han Seo Jun, we cannot miss his iconic “Okey Dokey” dance in the drama which Hwang In Youp gamely reenacted for fans. In addition, he let Han Seo Jun posses him that evening as he utters “salamat sa inyong pagmamahaland we swooned.

Knowing that True Beauty received so much love from the Filipinos, the actor said he wondered if his friends in the Philippines also watched the show. According to him, his Filipino friends encouraged him to try acting once he returns to South Korea.

The year 2022 was also quite a busy year for Hwang In Youp. He starred in two dramas, The Sound of Magic and Why Her. Sharing his similarity with Na Il Deung from The Sound of Magic, he said he is interested in piano, drums, and the beatbox which his friends in Davao taught him.

Meanwhile, asked about his character in Why Her, Gong Chan, Hwang In Youp shared that the biggest reason he chose to take on the role is that it is different from the previous characters he played. In his portrayal of Gong Chan, he focused on the character’s pureness and kindness despite the wounds he suffered. Moreover, like Gong Chan, he is straightforward in expressing his affection to another person. He said he will tell her directly if he likes her.

For Hwang In Youp, the kiss scenes with Seo Hyun Jin and the beach scene are the most memorable. He added that all the scenes that fans like are memorable.

And always making sure that fans get the best memories, Hwang in Youp then engaged in fun and kilig games with lucky fans, including a starring game, clapping game, and arm wrestling. Originally set for only three fans, the actor requested one more game for one more lucky fan. Aside from the heartstopping moments, the lucky fans also took home a polaroid with the actor and his merchandise.

But the surprises are far from over because Hwang In Youp made a special gift for one lucky fan to take home — a personalized fan he designed on stage!

Hwang In Youp is not the only one with a surprise, because his Filipino HIYLIYs prepared a special fan project for him with the sweetest words of “Welcome home, among palangga” printed on the banner and touching words on the video read:

We are happy to see you are loved by many. You have worked hard to achieve this success and you have proven that you’re worthy of all the big things in life. From Gi Jae Yeong to Gong Chan and to more characters and roles that you will play in the future, we are here to support and love you. Your heart is worth 70 billion dollars and our love for you is more than that. You did well!

From Philippine HIYLIYs to Hwang In Youp

With a grateful heart, Hwang In Youp capped off his first fan meeting in Manila and his Asia fan meeting tour with a photo with fans and a performance of “I Mean It”, his original soundtrack from The Sound of Magic. The evening ended with everyone saying “see you again” to the actor in the hi-bye event.

Ever-charming and always generous, Hwang In Youp gave everyone that night more reasons to love him with his enthusiastic effort to give fans the best memories in his first Manila fan meeting and with his never-ceasing smile that lighted up the venue from the start to the very end.

  • The Script captivates the crowd in their fifth Manila show

The Script captivates the crowd in their fifth Manila show

The Script played their greatest hits and took the audience on a journey through the band’s twenty-one-year history.

The Script kicked off the Asia leg of their ‘Greatest Hits Tour’ last Friday in Manila, with a massive sold-out show at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Script, who haven’t headlined a show in the Philippines in the past four years, have come back to the nation’s capital to celebrate the consistent successes they’ve had during their career.

Even though it was raining, everyone’s shoes showed how determined they were to see the legendary band. After that, it was clear that everyone in the arena was a huge fan of The Script. After that point, it became quite clear that each and every individual present inside the arena were die-hard fans of The Script.

Following the break from the front act, Andreah, it was finally time for The Script to perform on stage. The atmosphere in the room was electric as they began their performance with “Superheroes,” in a way that cannot be adequately described. The entire audience never wavered in their commitment to singing each and every line along with the band that was performing on stage. Hits like “Rain” and “We Cry” were performed as the band continued through their set, which was a memorable occasion for both the band and the audience.

The stage design, which included a giant screen at the back, made it possible to display eye-popping images, which contributed to a greater sense of immersion overall. Aside from that, the band was what carried the show. That was the most important takeaway of the night.

One of my favorite moments was the performance of “Paint the Town Green.” The lights went out and the arena was illuminated in green, along with green confetti. Around the middle of the song, the lead vocalist made his way through the audience and went back onto the main stage before ending the song. It was followed by one of the band’s biggest hits, “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.”

O’Donoghue relates the story of how he and Power first met in Los Angeles, got drunk, and the next morning recorded “Before the Worst.”

This offbeat story not only served as a creative and poetic method to discuss the song and their friendship, but it also illustrated the many ideas that the band members saw as being crucial to this trip. This trip was a very important experience for all of them.

In a striking departure from the norm, the band moved down to the patron section and joined their fans. For their performance of “Nothing,” the lead singer, Danny O’Donoghue, called the ex-partner of an audience member.

Suddenly, the performance shed its theatrical trappings and instead took on the atmosphere of a jam session with your closest friends. In addition, they sang “You Can See Me Now,” a fan favorite that O’Donoghue had written as a tribute to his father, who had passed away. Everyone wishes they could change something, but not everyone has the courage to write a song about it and perform it so many times. I like how expressive Danny O’Donoghue’s lyrics are in this song.

The mesmerizing moments during which the audience sang along with the band while gathered around O’Donoghue brought home the band’s message on the need for both celebration and collaboration. These softer acoustic songs were the highlights of the night.

For a To The Script fan, though, attending the Greatest Hits tour and missing performances of some of the band’s most popular songs can feel like a bit of a letdown.

The band surprised the audience by doing an encore consisting of three separate songs, which was exactly what the audience had been waiting for. As additional confetti and fireworks exploded from the stage, the audience members all pulled out their mobile devices, which caused a wave of light to spread across the arena.

Before the final song, O’Donoghue addressed all of the fans who had come to see them on their tour.

We have all gone through the wars. Music got me through the worst times, and my The Script family got me through the worst f***ng times, too.You guys have been the stars of the show the whole night. Moments like this we will cherish with our pride because we can all do such things if we all work together as one. We all feel the same feelings. It’s very rare when the band and the audience just become one as they share the same energy. It doesnโ€™t matter where we are in the world, itโ€™s the same energy. Every single one of these lights is there for you I dedicate this song to the city of Manila and the country of  Philippines. This is a song called “Hall of Fame.” As soon as the piano started playing, the crowd started to roar to the beat of the song.

Throughout the entirety of their show, neither the band nor the audience lost any of their energy. It was clear that the band missed being able to perform in front of their devoted fans. Performing songs from their entire discography since their 2008 debut album’s release, the band had something for everyone in attendance. The band’s “Greatest Hits” album just came out, so this tour will definitely be their most successful one to date.

Overall, this was the most remarkable concert I’ve seen this year. Even if a song is about a breakup, it makes you feel good. Probably because of how comforting and understood O’Donoghue’s writing and singing is.

It is highly recommended that you should not pass up the opportunity to watch The Script perform live when you get the chance. Their excitement, amazing voices, live performances, and other aspects contributed to the overall excellence of the presentation, which was one that we adored.

GOT7’s Youngjae, ATEEZ, and iKON Team Up with Fans for a Fired Up 2022 K-Pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila

Superb is an understatement for everything that went down at the 2022 K-Pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila!

After the huge success of its first offering, the 2022 K-Pop Masterz concert returned to the Philippines with its second installment, bringing together a stellar lineup, an amazing stage design, passionate fandoms, and a concert experience like no other in the 2022 K-Pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila.

PULP Live World once again outdid themselves with an incredible concert that reminded everyone at The Big Dome that K-Pop is indeed home. With GOT7’s Youngjae, ATEEZ, and iKON teaming up with Ahgases, ATINYs, and iKONICs, the Araneta Coliseum saw fans come together — cheering loud and proud and having the best time of their lives that Friday night.

Ahgases, ATINYs, and iKONICs unite at the 2022 K-Pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila at The Big Dome last September 23.

FOCUS ON HIM: Vibin‘ with Youngjae

GOT7’s Youngjae kicked off the 2022 K-Pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila, hyping the crowd with “Vibin’”, the title track of his first extended play and his self-produced and self-composed record, Colors from Ars. The intensity of the energy went higher as the singer-songwriter immediately followed it up with “Sugar”, the lead single of his newest EP of the same name.

Giving the audience a chance to recoup themselves from the excitement of the kick-off performances, the ever-charming Ryan Bang, the evening’s host, entertained the attendees with his humor. He also remarked that Filipinos are the happiest audience in the entire world — a statement proven true as soon as Youngjae returned, greeting the crowd with “Hello, guys! I’m Youngjae!” amid the cheerful screams of the fans.

The GOT7 member expressed his happiness to see Ahgases once again this year, having just held his first solo concert in the country in July. He also shared his hope to return to the country and visit places such as Cebu. Delighting fans more, the singer-songwriter also relayed his admiration for Filipinos, calling them beautiful. “I want to return since this is a beautiful place with beautiful people. I want to come back,” he said.

And the audience did not let the opportunity pass without giving Youngjae another wonderful memory in the Philippines as they sang “Happy Birthday” to him in English and Korean. “I love you, Manila!” he said, before going into performance mode again with “Tasty” and “Focus”. Indeed, the focus was on him as he takes over the stage with his stellar vocals and explosion of his various charms.

Ryan Bang joined him on stage for the TMI Talk – Have it or Don’t Have it. Through the segment, the audience got to know more about the singer-songwriter. Youngjae revealed that he keeps a diary at home, has GOT7 songs on his playlist, and owns more than ten white shirts. For his top GOT7 songs, he named “Girls Girls Girls”, “NANANA”, and “Never Ever” as his top three picks. And here’s more to look forward, Ahgases, because Youngjae revealed that he has more than 30 unreleased songs and that his second mini album has been prepared!

He also left with a sweet message and promise to fans who came out to see him, “I’m very thrilled that you were able to come up for me. Sooner or later, I will come back and perform on a bigger stage for you. I am very thankful to you for being here. I will come back on a cooler and bigger stage. It could be fast. It could be slow. If you just wait for me, I’ll be there soon.”

Youngjae closed his set with “Crema”, a track from the Sugar EP. Making the evening sweeter, the GOT7 member went around to give out signed balls.

ATEEZ PRESENT: ATEEZ debuts on the Philippine concert stage!

It may have taken a while, but the wait of Philippine ATINYs was definitely worth it as ATEEZ gave fired-up performances from the start until the very end. Making their debut on the Philippine concert stage thru the 2022 K-Pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila, Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho said hello to their local fans with their newest single, “Guerrilla”. Roaring cheers welcomed the members which intensified as they make their official greeting — 8 makes 1 team. One by one, the members introduced themselves and shared their first impressions of the Philippines.

Leader Hongjoong expressed his desire to hold a solo concert in the country in the future. “We can’t wait for our concert here someday,” he said. Not letting the energy die down, ATEEZ once again took the stage with their debut single, “Pirate King”. They then got everyone on their feet and singing along to “Say My Name” with ATEEZ present booming loud and clear at The Big Dome.

Taking a break from the heated stages and in an effort to bring out their competitive side, Ryan Bang returned on stage and joined ATEEZ. The boys showed off their teamwork thru a relay game. The maknae and the leader teamed up for a game of speak takraw, successfully completing the mission with their impressive skills. Mingi and Yeosang continued the winning streak with a success in moving archery. Meanwhile, Yunho, San, Seonghwa, and Wooyoung made sure that the streak goes on during their turn after getting the correct answer in the relay quiz.

With their success in the relay game, ATEEZ secured signed balls for the fans which they gave away while singing “Wave”. With grateful hearts, the members relayed their gratitude to everyone who patiently waited for ATEEZ and came to see them that night. “Thank you for waiting for us. It was such an honor. We will be back here. Salamat,” Yunho said. Yeosang also thanked fans for the warm cheers and his hope to meet them again. Hongjoong echoed his members’ wish to hold a concert in the Philippines soon. Mingi called it an honor to perform in the Philippines.

The gratefulness definitely went both ways as the crowd gave resounding cheers to ATEEZ as the boys performed “The Real”, capping off their first live performance in the country. The music of ATEEZ elicited widespread euphoria among the crowd — surely breaking the walls of The Big Dome.

SINOSIJAK! iKON comes back to their Philippine iKONICs

The countdown began. The crowd was on their feet. The cheers grew louder and louder. And in Bobby’s words, “Guess who’s freaking back!” Serving as the last performers of the night, iKON set The Big Dome ablaze from the get-go with “Sinosijak” and “Rhythm Ta” — officially marking their return to the Philippine concert stage after almost four years.

“I really missed you. Really really missed you,” DK said while looking at the Konbats at the arena. And iKONICs made sure that iKON knew how much they missed them by giving them resounding, thunderous cheers and chants that literally shook Araneta Coliseum. Chan remarked, “Manila is the best!”

Catching up on iKON’s latest activities, Ryan Bang gave fans the chance to get to know the boys more in the interview segment where Jay sang a bit of Filipino singer-actor Iรฑigo Pascual’s “Dahil Sa’yo”. He, later on, encouraged iKONICs to sing with him, having the cutest duet with the fans. Song, a.k.a. Chef Song of the Songchelin Guide YouTube channel, shared his desire to cook Filipino food. Meanwhile, maknae Chan recounted trying on halo-halo and banana cue.

DK, who recently made his runway debut at the New York Fashion Week, talked about coming to New York and walking the runway. ” New York Fashion Week was a great experience and a lot of fans cheered for me, so I was able to do well and come back. New York is nice, but I’m in Manila right now, so I feel better,” he said. With Ryan Bang’s encouragement and fans’ cheers, DK let Philippine iKONICs see his runway walk. The members also joined the fun, strutting their way to the extended stage.

But the night was far from over, as iKON amplified the energy once again at The Big Dome with “BLING BLING”. Allowing fans to take a break from the superb party, the boys shared some TMI to fans, including what they always do. They also completed the sentence, “Every morning…”, sharing the activities they do in the morning. Bobby shared he goes on Weverse, while Jay confidently said that he is sexy every morning. On the other hand, Song shared he shaves every morning. Ju-ne got everyone relating to him with his answer of sleeping every morning as he tends to wake up late. The dearest maknae is all grown-up, now knowing how to say sweet words as he answered that every morning, he thinks about Philippine iKONICs. Another relatable answer came from DK who shared he goes to the toilet every morning.

The interview segment got everyone smiling, but the next performance made those smiles bigger as iKON performed every iKONIC’s national anthem, the queen “Love Scenario”. Aside from the hype and the energy, iKON’s return was also emotional for both the members and iKONICs. Bobby opened up about being initially worried that their Philippine iKONICs may have forgotten them. However, according to him, as soon as they arrived in Manila, he felt the warm air and felt reassured that he had nothing to worry about. And that night at The Big Dome was a testament that iKONICs never and will never leave.

With a comforting heart and passionate spirit, iKONICs sang loud and proud with iKON in “Freedom”. The Big Dome turned red — fired up and blazing. iKON left the stage, marking the end of the show. But amid the chants for an encore, the boys came back, like they always do, for the crowd that missed them so badly, performing the final song of the 2022 K-Pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila, “BUT YOU”.

The 2022 K-Pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila saw fandoms come together to cheer loudly and proudly, dominating The Big Dome with their passionate hearts and unwavering dedication to their favorite artists. The months, years of waiting definitely paid off as GOT7’s Youngjae, ATEEZ, and iKON did not hold back and gave their all to their beloved Ahgases, ATINYs, and iKONICs who patiently waited and who warmly welcomed them.

Three artists. Three fandoms. One night. One heart. For K-Pop.

The Search is Over! LILY Finally Introduces New Lead Vocals

After months of searching, Lily, the award-winning OPM band formerly known as Callalily, introduces actor-singer Joshua Bulot as their new vocalist.

Bulot joins the award-winning and chart-topping band following former lead singer Kean Ciprianoโ€™s departure in June 2022, as he is “moving on” after less than two decades with the band. Hence, Lily, in collaboration with Lx2 Entertainment, opened national auditions to aspiring artists in search of their newest member.

“Lily welcomes a new era of Pinoy music with the addition of Joshua to the group. Weโ€™re just so happy that weโ€™re completed now. We cannot wait to create songs that will convey emotions that words cannot express. Weโ€™re looking forward to whatโ€™s ahead,” shares Lem Belaro, the bandโ€™s drummer.

A freelance model and songwriter on the side, Bulot bested over 100 hopefuls and was hailed as the bandโ€™s new lead vocalist on September 18โ€™s Grand Finals held at VistaMall Antipolo in Rizal.

Prior to joining Lily, he was a former member of JBK boy band with Bryan del Rosario and Kim Lawrenz Ordonio as the other members, with the group emerging as the grand champion of the first Dreams Get Real: The Search for the Next OPM Star by McJim Classic Leather. He also breathes life into the highly-acclaimed theater piece Rak of Aegies as Tolits, with original Rak cast members Robert Seรฑa and his wife Isay Alvarez, Aicelle Santos, Kim Molina, and Jon Santos, among others.

Exciting new, relatable songs, local and international tours, and more await fans as the six-man band gears up for more. The band โ€” composed of mainstays Lem Belaro, Nathan Reyes, and Aaron Ricafrente, including notable member Alden Acosta โ€” previously released its new name and official logo, which marks “a new beginning” for its members.

This iconic band entered the music scene in 2005 with their songs “Magbalik,” “Stars,” and “Pasan,” all from their debut album titled Destination XYZ. Callalily is also the pop rock band behind hit songs “Pansamantala,” “Ex,” and more.
