We really, really, really, really, really, really like her! Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen recently wrapped up her Philippine concert at the Smart Araneta Collesium last September 14, and it was worth the wait!

Two years after her first solo concert at the Big Dome, Carly excitedly told her fans: “It’s all good to see all of your faces up close and personal again!” The crowd surely felt the same way as they also shout back in anticipation.

Opening her second Manila tour with songs “Runaway with Me,” “Making the Most of the Night,” and “Warm Blood,” all from her new album E•MO•TION, Manila fans finally got a taste of the “Call Me Maybe” singer’s growth as an artist after her big hit.

Also following the release of her latest album, the 29-year-old performer also sang “Emotions” for her Philippine audience.

During her presscon, a day before the concert, the singer elaborated what it was like composing for her album E•MO•TION: “I think Emotion was one of my favorite ones. There’s a reason why I titled the album that. It was one of the first songs that sort of sparked the direction for me, and I’m like, ‘Oh, okay, this is what I want to do.’ In fact, I can remember coming into New York, and I was like, ‘I think it’s gonna be something like this.’”

After her well-known hit “Call Me Maybe,” the singer even talked about her transformation from being a bubbly pop artist to a more mature singer-songwriter: “If I look at what I who I was yesterday and who I was last year, it’s like a completely kind of ever-changing thing. I think that reflects the music that I do, too,” she explained.

It was a night of good music as Manila also partied along songs “Gimme Love,” “Tiny Little Bow,” “Your Type,” “Hurt So Go,” “Let’s Get Lost,” “LA Hallucinations,” “Favorite Colour,” All That,” Love Again,” “Curiosity,” and “Boy Problems.”

What we love most about the concert is how “game” the audience were. Despite performing in a large venue, the set-up seemingly became more intimate as Manila fans danced closely to one another while singing along Carly’s songs.

The pop star also performed her popular songs: “This Kiss,” “Tonight I’m Getting Over You,” and “Good Time.” The night also wouldn’t be complete without Carly singing her biggest hit “Call Me Maybe.”

After “Call Me Maybe,” Carly then wrapped up her 2015 concert with “I Really Like You.” Until now, we can’t get over how much Carly looks like she’s having so much fun on stage! We definitely want her to visit Manila again, really, really, really soon.
