Order Up! David Cook to serve up a rocking show

David Cook returns to the Philippines

We’re so impressed with Cook’s great personality plus his extended care to all of his Pinoy fans and Cookistas. He has grown so much since his first visit, we cannot wait to see him live tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“This country is incredibly beautiful…having the chance to fly in this morning as the sun was coming up…to see the clouds laying low over the mountains, it’s beautiful. And I think the people of this country, the fans, really mirror that.” This how David Cook described our country when asked “What can you say about the people in the Philippines?”

American Idol season 7 winner David Cook has finally returned to our soil after 3 years. He’s back in town to repeat the success of his first show in Manila together with David Archuleta. Accompanied by his brother Andrew Cook, the rocker idol had a press conference yesterday at Edsa Shangri-La Mandaluyong City. He is also performing in Cebu tomorrow night at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino.

His sophomore album, This Loud Morning, was released last year and was a Billboard Top 10 debut. It contains hits Last Goodbye and Fade Into Me. The last season of American Idol, David returned to the Idol stage to debut a new single, “The Last Song I’ll Write for You” which reached #2 on  iTunes chart

“Would have been the changes in the songwriting process since Analog Heart?”

I still write by myself sometimes, Analog Heart is written completely by myself over the course of a year, the whole record I think was recorded in 2 ½ weeks. The new single The Last Song I’ll Write For You, I wrote with my Keyboard Andy and our friend Danielle James and I love the process of bouncing ideas of other people especially people do I respect as musician and people who I care for as friends. Really just writing, we got packed of songs written for this third record. I written all of them with friends with people I have with, I feel like it actually calm the songs down, it’s a little bit more laidback comfortable and I probably enjoyed this writing process than many others”

Since you’ve been here before what are you expecting tomorrow? What are you expecting from us?

“Nothing, honestly I’m just appreciative that we got to travel to bring music…as long as you guys are excited for us to come out. I hope you guys come out and have a good time”

David Cook ended the press conference with his message “Thank you for having us again. I continuously amaze that I get to do this, this is ridiculous. I’m having a press conference halfway around the world that’s pretty weird but I’m honored that you guys want to us to come back here so hopefully see you guys out of this shows and have a good time.”

This Loud Morning will be out soon in all record stores under Ivory Music & Video.

David Cook live in Manila and Cebu is Presented by Dayly Entertainment, Rocsktar Touring and LAMC Productions.
