Lamb of God Live at World Trade Center

No hellish traffic jam could ever stop Lamb of God from returning to the Manila stage for another round of metal excellence. The Grammy-nominated thrash metal band fired a fresh barrage of sonic salvo for their Filipino fans last March 6 in the World Trade Center, fuelling local metalheads to swirl into pits of crashing bodies.

Front man Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell, and drummer Chris Adler are as keen as ever, consistently on point with every note of rage and technique. Their break-neck set was unforgiving to the faint of heart, as fans were left breathless since the opening rush of “Desolation” and “Ghost Walking”, to favorites “Laid to Rest” and “Omerta”, finishing off old school with “Vigil”, “Redneck” and “Black Label”. If we go by Blythe’s words that night, we can expect Lamb of God to return yet again to the Philippines, plowing through EDSA in a jeepney decked with flaming skulls and all things metal.
